Haley has such a good tonal quality to her vocals that can't really shine through a recording. Haley is a lot like Carrie Underwood in that aspect in that Carrie sounds better live and so does Haley. I so hope she has the right songs to let people hear what she can do so that she becomes the success she deserves!!!

Dressing up and using props doesn't mean you have a "Rock & Roll heart." Did you see her Led Zeppelin performance? Did you see her dad ripping on the guitar? She grew up on that shit. She's never won a country music singing contest like Durbin did in his hometown. And she would never tell an interviewer that of all the artists at the American Music Awards she was most excited to see Bieber -- but James did that last night.

It's original Haley's version and she was right to defend herself. She shouted the pain

Randy and Jennifer were right. Haley should have learned from her mistakes. Haley was defending herself in a really arrogant way. Also, she did scream over the top. No reason for her to get defensive. If she wants to be a recording artist, she can watch her vocal range.

Randy said it was out of her range, she said it wasn't, he agreed. He said she should have been doing runs at the end, she said she thought it was beautiful as written and originally performed. She corrected his errors because he was making statements in order to taint her performance. After Steven began speaking, Randy began repeating himself by shouting over him and she told him she heard him the first time. Haley's supposed mistakes? They were nearly always, "wrong song ." PFFT!!

Haley tore this song up, Randy and JLO can both suck something. Not too many people can hit notes as high as michael. his voice was naturally high from the start. Haley did a damn good job considering that fact.

As a huge MJ fan i know what this song is supposed to sound like! She sang from her heart and it came out as to her best perfection!!! The judges do not know what they were talking about!! She picked a great song (one that actually was a hit at one point back in 1995 when the Earth Song video was the most requested video at a time, its a popular song)!! She sang it excellently!! @DamianR305 They do. Or the people behind the curtains want that. So they throw little sticks in the spokes and hope whatever contestant crashes. Didn't work with Haley now did it? However I fear she will be bested by the continually dull and drab Lauren and Scotty, with the victor being Scotty. So not unique and predictable. It is an absolute miracle that the dopey Scotty made it past Hollywood week.

@DamianR305 Agreed. Tonight was no different for Scotty and Lauren...pitchy as hell, absolutely predictable and pretty boring. Haley, yet again, brings some daring difference to the table. Even if she comes in second, she has to beat ONE of these two goofballs. I say Lauren...she is so babied and pampered and just...silly. She is like a puppet whereas Haley takes the helm of things.

I'll take my chances with the latter of the two because clearly Lauren and Scotty's performances were pretty sub-par and boring yet they god better criticism than Hailey.
