liquid below is the unfermented beer (wort) spelled (wert)
Liquid above is not liquid, is foam created by the yeast at work converting the sugars in the wort into alcohol and CO2. The CO2 is allow to get out through the lock (tube) but no air allowed in so it doesnt contaminate the wort.
is that a bottle of lube in between the glass bottles?
