  • No keys, push to start!

  • Good day my friend, i whold like to ask you if there is any push button for the 2010 charger ?? And if it available can you send me the site that i can order from ?? Thanks see ya

  • Jeremy Clarkson was dumb to say he could start Richard's Challenger without the key inside the car in the US Road trip challenge.......

  • @richu27 But as I recall, he did.

  • @FoamCups428 How come? Was it any sort of issue?

  • @richu27 No, I don't think so. Richard was sitting in a diner, with the Challenger parked right next to the window. I think it just has a longer range detection. Jeremy got just far enough to park it in the middle of the road.

  • @FoamCups428 My armada with intelligent key does not start up unless the key fob is inside the vehicle. Any near it too won't help it turn over.

  • Hi, I'm Anthony Sullivan. Are tired of hassling with your stone age key switch, struggling with the half turn it takes to start your engine. Well fear no more, introducing the useless and somewhat pointless push button start. The stupid addition in automotive history.

  • What a stupid addition to a great car

  • Thats nothing new commercial truck have had that technology for years.

  • Where do i get the button starter?

  • @filton00 from your mom's house

  • @asgher786 That was funny.

  • Is that the R/T or SRT?

  • I never knew that the button was removable, I actually prefer the old school way of starting it.

  • Hey I have a challenger rt 2010 but my dealer never mentioned anything about the push start button can i still get it on my car? Oh and when i actually try to push it without the button nothing happens except for this red dot light that turns on.

  • does the challeneger se come with push start?

  • @KingPhaRoh I don't think you can get it on the SE.

  • haha lol now i can get one sooner jk

  • cheap plastic pos if you ask me.

  • @lfvfd421 well no one asked you. now did they?

  • @brandon33334444 And nobody asked your input.

  • Uh i hate to break it to ya but that looks a bit cheap nigga.

  • If you don't lock your car with the push button installed, Someone could take your car.

  • @bpmagruder noup, like he said before, if the key is not close enough to the car, it wont start

  • what model challenger is it? is it an r/t, or is it a srt/8. it sounds like an srt/8!!!! nice car dood. i love that muscle monster hemi.

  • that car sounds awesome

  • Where can I buy that button from?

  • does the removal apply to the altimas? like the button being removed?

  • its because the key's still in the car

  • So if you went into the store and had the keyfob in your pocket, but you left the car running outside and someone drove off what would happen?

  • @King622 the car wont go into gear if the key fob is not in the car . I have tried that exact scenario ....

  • are you sure that's not because the key is a proximity key?

  • actually thats the same system used in the mercedes S class. its left over from the whole daimler chrysler thing

  • lmao fucking dodge haha with the finger and shit thats ragedy as fuck.. dam americans trying to keep up with technology and shit haha

  • How many car companies come from argentina? Oh that's right, none. You guys make everyone elses cars but not your own.........suckers!

  • yeap, and we drive European cars, rather than the sloppy American made shit, lol back to square one bitch

  • Actually volkswagen bugs made in mexico dont count bitch. Also it's yep, not yeap..back to square one bitch.

  • you forgot the point? anything that aint american made is better :) lol look at you defending you're country full of failures, you're probably another republican that lives dead end life haha, and talks like if you know about cars, its so funny

  • What's with the anti american talk? This is a video about a dodge challenger and you feel the need to spew your lame ass anti american sentiments. Who cares what you think? You're from Argentina! Mexican peasant farmers make more money than you. For your info, thats a proximity starter. I know they don't have those in your third world country yet. They might tho in the next 300 years.

  • lol the american ignorance at its best, make your country proud man :)

  • Oh you live in the United States? LAWL! You're badmouthing us but at the same time, living with us? What a shitbag! Have fun reaping the benefits of all these so called failures that made it possible for you to escape the barrio. Too funny. Are you exploiting the welfare system yet?

  • lol you're just another white guy that thinks he lives in the best country in the world lol whatever you say lil kid

  • Aww did I hurt your feelings?LOL, if that's what you need to tell yourself in order to highten your self worth. I find it funny that you actually think that the whole world is watching our exchange on a dodge challenger video. And if that isn't rediculous enough, you think that the whole world shares your opinion. Dillusional are we? Anymore shitty comments about americans, and our country that you are living in? You really should do it in person, it makes you look like less of a nutless prick.

  • yea you go ahead and think that way, you just make a fool out yourself.. lol i cant believe you even write so much.. get a life lil kid

  • LOL, you're not very good at expressing your own thoughts..who's the fool again? I have some advice for you in the future...if you're gonna rip on an entire country of people, expect to get ripped on in return...in your case, it's not hard. So lemmy know when you leave the united states..we outta boot people like you out on your asses.

  • "entire country of people" lol im not like you, i just judge you for what you are, but yea im gonna go ahead and let you keep talking to yourself lil kid. cya

  • So Aftermathsample thinks Argentina is the best place on earth and hates America and the people who live in it. That's all well and good but on that note, does that mean that you are going to catch the next bananna boat back home? I bet you won't...hmmm I wonder why that is? Because you're a shitbird that's why.

  • lol i never said it was best place on earth, or i hated americans.. i just just judge you for making this ignorant comments about everywhere else, banana boat? third world country? lol you're just embarrassing yourself here for the whole world to see, haha but keep it up you make me and everyone here crack up :)

  • What a coincidence! Now you can turn on your car too by sticking your finger in the hole :D

  • Nobody would have the balls to carjack someone In a challenger anyway..

  • i would much rather it not start at all and the thief get nowhere

  • do you know if that can be installed in 06' charger rt

  • omg that's REALLY cool. I thought that was a mercedes laser key, and not just a mercedes-shaped inert piece of plastic with smart features. WOW!

  • so if your driving, and you throw this key out the window (i know its stupid, since thats a very retarded thing to do) the whole car would shut off? thats pretty cool.

  • no, i don't think so. it only applies if you are trying to start the vehicle.

  • danm, cuase a good benifet of that is if oyu get carjacked. when the person take you out off your car, you can start running away and then your car will shut off on its own and you can get help., without someone driving off in your car.

  • yea its Chrysler's Immoblizier system. In my 300C if someone tries to steal it with a different key or something and the onboard computer doesnt recognize the key, it disables the engine 15 secs. after the car is started.

  • my 03 ford ranger has a RFID key in it, it does the same thing. the engine only runs for like 5 seconds, (im guessing to allow the computer to have time to read the key if it didnt when you 1st put it in) and if its a different key, OR a key copied off the original but without the correctly programed chip inside of it, or no chip at all you wont be going anywhere. i read an artical on this though, and theres ways to get around it with certain equipment, but atleast you can simply pick it.

  • most cars like 2000 model year and newer have it standard.

  • my 03 ford ranger has the same thing. if you use the wrong key without the right chip inside of it, it will run for like 5 seconds, then the thieft light will flash and it shuts down...

  • does the camaro have that?

  • all newer cars have the Immobilizer system for the safety of your car. I'm not sure if the Camaro has the laser key or anything.... i'm not really a G.M. person lol

  • go to your dealership and have it done it take a half HR im a chrysler tech from AL

  • ther a flash out for that

  • Muy bueno.... muchas gracias.

    Very good, tank you.

  • I LIKE DA SOUND OF HOW IT START UP

  • Comment removed

  • being able to start it with ur finger i think would be make more capable of stealing...dont cha think...

  • You can't actually do that trick unless the intelligent key is detected inside the car. This only illustrates that the button itself is just a conveniently-shaped piece of plastic

  • @suspensiontuna the key can also be outside the car but it has to be a certain distance

  • @wannabeangel83 yes but if the key isnt in thecar the car would turn off like about 10 meters from the start

  • i was told that they didn't have keyless go for the the 6 speed manual. is yours a stick shift?

  • Yes. They told you wrong.

  • say you have a charger, 2009, if you buy one of those, push buttons, would it work on a charger?

  • Not if the Charger doesn't have the keyless go option. There is a receiver involved, the key has to able to talk to it and there are proximity sensors that make sure the key is in the car. Only then will a push button work

  • This is awesome! Post it on all the Challenger forums. I love the way you show every possible way to start the car.

  • My friend just got his 09 Challenger. As long as the key fob is within 150ft of the car it starts. You can even drive the car!

But as soon as it goes beyond 150ft it stops. Not a very safe idea if you ask me.

  • thats actually a very good thing, if you got carjacked. if you keep the key fob on you, the carjacker wouldnt know, (at 1st anyway until they get smarter and start taking the key fobs from the driver, it still makes it more difficult for them) 150ft is a perfect distance to, since they would get a good distance from you before the car dies, meanwhile you can run and get help before they know what to even do.

  • LOL

Thanks for the vid. I was confused at first.

Now who designed that key fob? Chrysler or Merc?

I have to admit, though, that I understand the reason for this removable push-start button, and I can easily see a stream of new videos of people doing all sorts of things to the keyhole :P

  • nice suspensiontuna, hopefully your video will help some people out there having the "key fob not detected" issue, since most dealers are neglecting to mention you can pop off the button. Nice R/T BTW! I've got an '09 SRT8
