The fish meens fishers of men.for the past 2010 years or so we have been in the church age. The church is going to be removed by God and at that point the great tribulation period begins. The period after that is the millinium. Then comes eternity.

You are mistaken, atheism is about not pretending to know things we don't know so that we can keep looking for rational explanations, religion is not about believing in something greater than yourself, its about believing fairy tales from the dim past, & using those myths to self inflate your importance, ie you are in god's image or you have special communication with the creator when you talk to yourself. it opposses progress. the bible is no more true than the funny papers, if better poetry.

Some good points. Atheism is denying all possibility that higher power or being greater than ourselves exists. Agnosticism (a-gnostic) or against gnosticism (metaphysical beliefs) denies such claims as they cannot be proven. Not trying to educate you, just trying to define my arguement. Religion is the PRACTICE of worship, of a riual adoration of a higher power. As for the rest of your opinions, well they are like assholes...Pondering the unknown can hardly be seen as inflating self importance.

Yes I can speak english, i know the terms. Agnostic is too wishy washy of a label to me, I am a scientist, the belief in things that are real. "Higher power" is a very vague term, it seems utterly meaningless. "Higher" ? What, taller ? "power" as in kinetic energy ? I'm more interested in truth and knowledge that is useful. Religion is a social tool for organizing ignorance and mental illness.

I'm an Atheist, and I can tell you that you are wrong about that definition. Atheists are SKEPTICS, not people in denial. Denial implies that someone knows it's true but is lying about how it isn't true. People who worship a god are the ones advocating the positive, and therefore the burden of proof is on them.

To be skeptical is only natural.I'm a roman Catholic.Unlike most I except open mindedness regardless if I disagree or not. All I know is that I've experienced many things in my life,that Science can't explain.All I'm asking from you is that if you're going to be skeptical,at least except this...1.Have an open mind,and let people believe in what they want.2.Science can't prove everything all the time. I except science medicinally and educationally. Can you except me?

Atheists have *NEVER* forced Atheism upon anyone else. There never has been such a thing as an "Atheist missionary." We also don't go from door to door like the Mormons or the J. Witnesses.

How am I being a hyprocrite? All I did was say that I'm an Atheist. Christians are the ones who are pushing for things like school prayer and ten commandments on courthouses.
Did I say I was offended by someone telling me that I'm going to hell? When and where did I say that?

if you can't prove a claim, then the claim is false until you can present evidence and it can be examined and determined by all to be true. atheism is a lack of belief in a god or gods due to lack of evidence for the claim. is that so hard for you to understand? why is your god better than the 1,000's of gods before him?
