good work on the car. seems like a lot of piping only to keep the intake still in the engine bay... but it does make sense to keep it off the exhaust side... you should build a box for it to seal it away from the rest of the engine. looks good though
The difference between the Lexus IS and the Toyota Altezza is that the Altezza is equipped with 2.0L In-line 4 cylinder BEAMS Dual VVT-i 3S-GE engine(210 bhp) , while the Lexus IS has a 3.0L 2JZ-GE In-line 6 cylinder engine (215-220 bhp) The Altezza comes equipped with a 6 speed manual transmission while the IS is equipped with either a 5 or 4 speed automatic. Those are the major differences..
mate, your dont know shit. its just badging. both the altezza and the IS came out with the same engines. mind you the rs200 didn't come out in australia.
yeah thats right. My point before was that you were saying altezzas and ISs were different. altezzas and the ISs both share these engines. Its just different badging, and maybe some other minor differences. your totally right about the engines. You need to check out vids of altezzas with their J2Z swapped for a supra's J2Z GTE. thats a sweet setup! peace out man
slight differences in the interior. The lexus is more for the person who would want their car to be elegant (leather seats etc) whereas the toyota went for the more common way of doing things.
Yes. Thats what I meant. Luxurious. I couldnt think of the word before. I own a Toyota and have seen the Lexus versions and they're mostly the same. Try wikipedia. The Japanese build the Toyotas where the US make the Lexuses.
ye the stroker kit was only available with forged internals . the boost was set to .6 bar so still plenty of room . that run got from what i rember 245bhp at the hubs / 300-310 at the fly and 240 torque
the car is now running closer to the 340 flywheel mark after the new exhaust has come on . now i want to focus on the cars suspension setup . ive also upgraded the breaks to a big break kit .
