Love this videos. Been in Detroit twice . The Stooges played this beautiful place. Seems more intact than he Grande I think. thanks for posting this. Hope I can find the place on my next visit!
Good production that brings back memories. I've included this video on my my channel for the benefit of my Urban Economics students at Wayne State University.
Never seen inside the Vanity Ballroom before this. Thanks. It must have been beautiful in the day. Sorry to see it in such a state, yet glad that it still around and not a parking lot.
It really breaks your heart to see all of this hard work just decaying, Detroit needs to get better leadership, and give major tax breaks, or this city is DOOMED until it gets a whole new mindset and some civic pride, man this was once of the world`s great cities, c `mon on Detroiters!
It's not that people don't care, it's just that there's no one left within city limits with significant money. Those that are still in the city are, in aggregate, poor, uneducated, and not reliable tax-payers.
The city would need an influx of HUGE new businesses that brought a tax base and commercial base back to the city. Not going to happen anytime soon. That goes for anywhere in the U.S. Town pride doesn't have much to do with it, honestly. It's just raw economics.
great video! thanks for upload :)

These old buildings remind me of giant headstones. Just a bad thing.
