@andyli916 yup, 4 million is a small army....North Korea can field maybe 8-10 million but with 70's era equipment and not enough food. S Korea has a fully modernized 21st century army. The only strength the north has is the threat of a massive missile attack on Seoul. Once the Norths airforce is destroyed (probably within 24 hours) all that armor/troop concentrations will be cannon fodder. We already seen what a 150,000 modern army can do to a 10 million army in Iraq.

@andyli916 Sure, if you call 600,000+ troops "puny." Not to mention the trained 3,200,000 reserve army. Yeah, definitely "puny." Especially when even China and India's total force is comparable to that.

Yup, South Korea's "puny" force happens to be 6th largest in the world, and third largest in Asia. Second largest marine force, third largest number of tanks in Asia.

Yup, in terms of technology, this "puny" army only happens to be the most advanced in Asia, as well as one of the best trained.
