  • Why would you try to make that turn from the far right lane? You are setting up for a failure.

  • @coolhandcanada agreed

  • you got to love all the comments on here telling what the guy did wrong, and they've never drove a truck in thier life.

  • what the hell is this guy on???? holy green horn lol

  • he could have made it make that van back up more pull out alittle more and make this turn i have done before

  • @stickshiftsonly93 agreed

  • @c2100 Really the only choice, if you are out of road then make the smaller cars give more room safely, avoid backing up if possible, and block out that intersection if you need to. Personally, I would have already had my tractor in the left hand lane and my trailer in the right lane only enough to block others from sneaking up on my right.

  • Next time try a 4ft setup off the curb before you get to the intersection, & you won't have that problem.

  • tht all happen wth me evryday coz sme idiot car driver dnt wana wait thts y

  • From the number of fail clips on this site appears American drivers have poor judgement of roadspace required to turn a big rig. Fucken move the damn truck over 3/4 lanes if you have to in order to kick the trailer around? Block traffic and go over curbs if needed!!!

  • knock the pole down and keep it movin

  • @inktoxicated Fortunately that didn't happen

  • First day on the job eh.

  • @lvl99hp It well could have been

  • Three lefts make a right and three rights make a left.

  • I would have left at least 12 Feet from the curb. It takes a total of 4 lanes including the one your driving from to complete a 90 degree turn. 30 feet from the start split the lane, swing left to line up left trailer tires, then cut hard right when half the trailer clears the intersection. Should be easy.

  • The way I saw it, the driver could have easily made the turn. The trailer axles were right by the pole and far enough to the right so he had plenty off room to turn. But he might not have been able to get it all together because he got nervous.

If I am not sure, I get out and look.

  • He should just turn down a different street

  • And thats what happened

  • First day with the big truck....

  • Looks like it

  • At least no one was hurt except for their pride

  • Sometimes it turns out this way. This is obviously a super buttonhook turn

  • He should have setup taking half the lane next to him. Sometimes it's hard to tell the street your at until it's too late, then your SOL.

If you really need the turn and can't make it get out and shorten up your trailer all the way.

  • You would think so and he eventually did

  • can't he just go straight and turn somewhere else?

  • OWCH!!! That wasn't pre planned. North Shore driving school perhaps? This is close to where I live and I see their trucks all the time.

  • It's quite amazing what you can see as a pedestrian around the Metro town area of Burnaby

  • Fresh out of truck driving school perhaps? :-)

  • I hope so
