i got a g1 and an itouch for xmas. i really liked the itouch much better. its much more refined. magazines r saying the g1 is better but iphone has aesthetics(sp?) and even the first iphone was much nicer and had a smoother operation.
Instinct is as good as that the only thing it doesnt hav as good as that is the touch sensitivity of the screen thats it and the instinct is faster at loading to stuff and it can get free apps it just doesnt hav a app store booyah
So then why wasn't there a line to get the Instinct when it came out. For some reason, those of you who think the Instinct is superior must be the only ones in the world who have it figured out right? The 7 million people who bought the iPhone are wrong and you guys are right. There are WAAAAY more things that make the iPhone better. App store is the main thing. Who cares that there is no live TV on the iPhone. How many people are really watching TV on their phones. Hardly anyone.
Do a little more digging before you go shooting off claims of why the iPhone isn't selling in Japan. Yes, I have lived there, and no, the average person does not have more than one phone. The reason isn't not doing so well is because of the generation gap and the keyboard functionality when typing in Japanese.

while i would prefer an iphone over an instinct anyday, up here in Canada, Rogers is really ovepricing their data plans for the iphone (something like $60 a month before taxes and system fees, with only 400mb of data) while Bell is offering the instinct for for around $40, which includes a decent amount of minutes and unlimited data
im not saying that apple is to blame here, but i think that most canadians who dont need to have an iphone would go with the instinct

It's a fucking phone NOT A FLASHLIGHT.
But yes there is a flashlight program on the iPhone and it's free.
AIM is free and it's and instant messenger.
You can't enjoy flash on a phone anyway the screens are too small.
Sending IMs through SMS is the biggest waste of your texts anyway when you can use AIM.
How often are people really recording video on their phone.
6 million already sold. How many did the Instinct sell?

3.Bookmarks,favorites what ever the hell else you said instinct has
4.REAL GPS! (turn by turn)
5.Voice search (ex.Pizza..100 stores that sells pizza with full directions)
6.Movie app is already a button in the fun menu(you can buy tickets)
7. Interent speeds...faster than the iphone! yes do some research..the instinct internet is twice as fast as iphones
