Thanks for your comments veebeesa. I shot all the footage on a Canon 7D with a 24-105 mm lens with a Zacuto eye piece. The community all pulled together in an amazing way. A stranded taxi driver on the St Francis side ferried people from the bride to the village while boat owners ferried people across the river at a different point. There was a tremendous sense of community and cooperation. Very heart-warming to be part of the greater St Francis community during a time of crisis.
Brilliant footage, you must have spent hours out there. You really captured the true stories as they unfolded. Well done to all the wonderful people who helped on that day! Amazing stuff!
Two questions: Was this just one camera's footage? What camera is it filmed on?
This is not a political forum. I uploaded this video for friends and interested locals. It is not the appropriate place for people with different agendas to air their views. I have left all comments up until now because I believe that everyone has a right to his or her own opinion, however, I personally prefer bridge building to destructive dialogue so have decided to remove any comments that tear down rather than build up. I apologise if this offends you in any way. Linda Collison

Great stuff Linda. What an awesome 'trailer' sitting here in our flat in Hong Kong waiting for the Super 15 final to start! Will be there in two weeks time may need to hire a 4WD to get in though? Can't wait.

To all my friends in St Francis Bay, thinking of you. This is quite traumatic for everyone, especially people who live in Humansdorp and rely on th work in SFBay. Lets hope a new link is built soon!
Wow, nicely captured. Dramatic from here in Johannesburg, knowing that my family were exported to the Republic of St Francis yesterday. Well done to the NSRI and the rest of the community for helping out.
Well done to the Guys in Orange. Not sure who they are. No wait !..... everyone by the looks of it. But nevertheless, awesome job guys. and tremendous inspiration from the female commentary (Linda?) This is how a community can work.
