Randy, Is there anyway you could get a license to get these amazing video's on dvd to sell to fans like Me. These are so amazing!! Would Hillary or his family be into it? We could only all hope...
I posted last night that it was all I could do to not stay up all night watching, listening - "My Life Go By" !!! - but now today I am writing to this music and feel so inspired. We are truly blessed to have the technology to capture his work and to share it.
Curious RTLUGE - are you connected to the New Varsity - or How do you have these?
I was explaining to my wife that I've been obsessed searching Youtube for the past day and a half watching videos of Michael Hedges and that I stumbled upon some rare hard to find footage... she looked at me like I'm crazy. If you look at the hits on these "New Varsity" videos, you'll see very few hits compared to the heavy hitter videos of his on Youtube. It took me a day and a half to find them.

I know that John Martyn was infamous for mumbling when he sang, but it's pretty cute that Michael thought the lyric was "Please hold me baby tonight for me." ????

@gobyfishmusic We have indeed! Mine was mistaking a White Stripes line from the song 'We're going to be friends'. For ages I sang, "Teacher bangs our head against the wall" when it should have been "Teacher marks our height against the wall". oh oh!
Interesting video. Esp interetstign because of the right hand technique hes using here- different to Johns although contains the essential backslap. Really good performance of this, and one thats hard to get *really right*, though no one- no one- can sing this like John could.
too much brilliant imitation; though the chap sounds perfectly good enough to be a little more personal if he dares.
