Props to Porsche. In 1970, Congress passed the "clean air act" and for all intents and purposes the high performance days were gone. Corvettes had a massive 225 hp. But Porsche unlike all the other car companys kept getting more HP and torque all the while fullfilling the constant EPA rules and changes.
@RigsPGT ok, help me out, a "know it all" friend of mine says the 911 is one of the worst car designs of all-time! How can this be? He says the mid-engine design is stupid, what can i tell him in rebuttal?
@pacocandano like the go-kart of my youth on steroids ...you just can't explain it to someone that has never driven one . Japanese / UK cars cannot compete . I can feel a cigarette butt or a pull tab left on the road right in my steering wheel . It does get a little dicey in a 4 wheel drift in a tight corner , but I do love it so .... it's as close to 2 wheels as this old man can get , anymore .....
