Khurasan is an ancient region today overlapping Afghanistan, Iran, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan. In modern day it's largley in Iran. @djkhaled412 Don't interpreting hadith literally. Consider that Qur'anic verses, hadiths were recorded centuries ago in a lexicon relative to those people. Hence some meanings are allegorical. Don't expect hadith to describe ICMB's, aircraft carriers and radar evading aircrafts. Horses, swords are symbolic for 'war'. As for Imam rising without solid support, this is untrue. A threshold of support is PREREQUISITE and Islamic Iran being most capable power in 'khurasan' is most probable candidate.

Khurasan is an ancient region today overlapping Afghanistan, Iran, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan. In modern day it's largley in Iran. The Khurasan army liberating Qods is not Taliban or Al-Qaeda- these are ragtag militias with no real capability to 'sweep' the region into Qods and defeat a western backed army. The Khurasan army is hence in Iran and thus organised/supported by an actual state with advanced capabilities. Now this is much more plausible. Let not sectarian prejuidce blind us.

@djkhaled412 Don't interpreting hadith literally. Consider that Qur'anic verses, hadiths were recorded centuries ago in a lexicon relative to those people. Hence some meanings are allegorical. Don't expect hadith to describe ICMB's, aircraft carriers and radar evading aircrafts. Horses, swords are symbolic for 'war'. As for Imam rising without solid support, this is untrue. A threshold of support is PREREQUISITE and Islamic Iran being most capable power in 'khurasan' is most probable candidate.

The reference to Islamic Iran is only to identify the 'army of khorasan' which the hadiths themselves talk about. I've reasoned that based on location, preparedness and policy (see article 4 of Irans constitution) it is highly likely the hadith is referring to this army rather than ragtag Taliban.

I was always under the impression that the hadiths were written around the same time as the Quran and had no idea it was written by the Persians who are now Iranians.
