Its not necessary , all that is needed is solar electricity. Regular light bulbs are fine. How many buildings do we have to put these panels and on ... lets think about it. It time to start thinking sustainability and light bulbs that create a problem in the future is not sustaining it putting off the problem until later. Its time to start encouraging people to ride bicycles, you know using those things you call legs.

i'm gonna go change my lightbulbs right now... just got a paycheck, so there's no excuse at the moment. not even gonna wait til the old ones run out 'cause i'm just wasting my own money in the meantime.
i do not think climate change is "our" (individuals or my community) fault but i do think that if we take responsibility for our personal impact(s) then we can call out the corporations and gov'ts in a principled way.

CFLs are awsome! They last 12 times longer than regular bulbs. And besides, 12 bucks is a way cheep price to pay for our planet!

@yagjian no disrespect to you but you're also another religious mental case just like your other "Greenie" friends for thinking that CFLs are good for our planet. if u like cfls just cuz u like them, then you are entitled. But for you to use them cuz u think that you're doing this planet a favor shows how tiny your brain is. Climate change is not controlled by humans. Thank god they're making Halogen bulbs which are incandecents that are efficiant. they will kick cfls to the curb

We gotta conserve our energy and clean up the streets, especially in tha hood! Black folks dont even recognize the true costs yet, but we gotta educate and inspire our people to take action and wake up.
