Nay, this knife is more suited to a lot of survival tasks, there are some other Ka-bar knives like the new USMC that would in most likely serve you better in a fight.

yeah definately not for fighting sorry guys. There are much better knives for fighting than this. It is an awesome knife but it is best for survival use. Fighting would be too hard. It is very heavy heavy and trying to use a knife with a two in wide blade to stab ar slash would be much harder than doing so with a knife that has half the blade width. A thinner blade is much "faster".

They stopped making the fixed blade version, yes. The Folding warthog is still produced though.

You mean the warthog impact? It's the smaller one, I think I would be more comfortable with this bigger one. However, the impact version doesn't have the double guard wich I would prefer more.
