The guitarist made a lot of mistakes and skipped out on a lot of the fills...Well, good try. This is not one of Zappa's harder songs but it is beautiful and one of my favorites.

The 2:06 section sounds great but 1 note at 2:08. Some earlier parts are hacked. I know Zappa fans like myself, are aghast when some notes are "jazzed" or entirely missing but it's a great effort and definitely a treat for Phans. Zappa rehearsed his band 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week. AlsoZappa's standard was so high that none of the US unionized orchestras could play his music. He had to dumb down his scores. His music wasn't fully realized until Ensemble Moderne from Germany came along.

Yes ZPZ plays this song perfectly...and it is one of only a few dozen songs in their rotation. They play it probably every three shows. Phish cycles through hundreds of songs from several different genres of music. Trey missed a couple of changes on a song he hasn't played live since 1999 and you get to sit back and nitpick. I'd much rather they reintroduce Peaches into the rotation and sound rusty than to shelve it for good.

yea they messed up here and there, but it's the spirit of it all! any zappa song is going to be hard to cover, even for a band like phish, and if they haven't played it in over a decade, you can't expect them to nail it! now i know why they didn't play it in cincinnati... i don't care how 'sloppy' they may have been, i would have been drooling at this point.

thanks for the amazing quality video. i was there and was blown away at how great they sounded and how cool the scene was, felt really old school. i felt the passion and their enjoyment of playing.

I don't think any music by Frank could be classified as pop, Hot Rats ranked 173rd on the Billboard Pop Albums Chart in 1969 great album but i wouldn't call it Pop

This is LIVE music. This is not pre- recorded lipsync garbage. It's about the moment the heart the soul. To say there are "flubs" here is to completely miss the point of this music.
People often point out that Jerry Garcia could be a very sloppy guitarist. Again it's sad cuz these poeple are not really feeling the music they are looking for perfection in a place it can never exist....the heart and soul of improvised music.
