No other portion of the firearm could have been struck that would have guaranteed the result with no discharge of the pistol and the target was not significantly larger than the bullet used to strike it.

@iviaverick52 typically police snipers use either .223 or .308. because theres less chance for overpenetration and collateral damage. 308 is used for shooting through glass or a similar obstacle. i think a .223 could knock it out of his hand but probobly not mangle the gun like this vid

Also murder rates have more factors than weapons. When you have a higher population you have more low SES which means you will have more crime. You know that right?

It's is illegal in the respect that is illegal to aid another person it they want to commit suicide.Such as if the person in question want to be poisoned to kill himself and you get the poison for that person and give it to them. I don't know if that is the best example but I hope it helps. Your right what can the law to a person that is already dead. But if can be proven that another person knew that the person in question was suicidal and did not report it then he could be in serious trouble.

This was in Columbus, Ohio at a three way intersection just east of Sawmill Rd. I know, I was on my way home when I got stuck in traffic because of this dick.
It was a great shot, and he mapped it out to where any ricochet would have gone into an embankment or buried in the road.

Well as such an avid gun shooter you should know the difference of possibly killing a man or saving him with a single bullet. Except you don't cause you're not a cop or anything else that deals with saving lives. Hunting and Shooting a man is different. You'd be surprised on how marksman freeze when it comes to the real deal so until you yourself do it (not say you could do it) respect the abilities of the man who saved a life in need of help.

If you think shooting a gun out of someones hands is an easy thing then someone has been watching too many movies. The person could have moved at any time and got injured. You once again compare what he did with a task that has no stress on actually injuring a human being. That alone makes a difference on the attitude towards the task at hand.

What is the biggest advantage a hunter has over a military trained sniper? Knowledge of the land. That goes back a long time, and is more of a debate of local vs invader. I DO know hunters that CAN take shots as well as military trained snipers, but I also know many hunters that ARE military trained snipers lol. Remember that snipers originated AS hunters lol. They arent combat shooters though. That needs to be taken into account.

Yes the U.S has a much higher murder rate than the U.K while U.K is anti-gun and the U.S is pro-gun.
However, Switzerland has an "abundance" of weapons and everybody is "required" to own a combat rifle as part of their militia, they have one of the lowest murder rates on Earth, you see the people of Switzerland don't put up with gang shit like America does, and the kids are GIVEN assault rifles with supervision, and they haven't had a single school shooting.
