I was lucky enough to be one of five people in the room when DKD played a poorly advertised show in Minneapolis. He was still spellbinding. He is the real deal.

Hah! Actually, the guy at 1:28 is me (markalamarama). I was up front taking still shots while my video camera recorded at the rear of the venue (you'll notice there was no camera movement till I walk past back to the camera. I agree with you, David is an amazing talent.
check out his stuff with 'prayers and tears of arthur digby sellers'-also very good shit. he used to live in good ol chapel hill but moved very far away. i remember meeting him once...
This guy is so damn good. I heard the cd Fear of Flying playing in the background at a backyard bbq. I loved it right off. So I went up to find out who it was. The host laughed and said I was the 10th person to come up and ask that question. I picked it up the next day and then got the first one Sharp Teeth the day after that. So many great artists fly under the radar in the USA.

driving fast on a icy mountain pass
we came bulleting off the road
and flailing, clutching anything
(my stomache in my throat)
I screamed to my passengers, "I love you"
and I prayed to what I do not know
I hoped we would not suffer
but the car it did not slow
megafawn 1 year ago
and flying through the darkness
not stopping, and missing all the trees
I couldn't help but remember
that thought i often think -
that maybe I'm invincible
I just don't think I can die
but in the seconds seeming like hours
I came to see I might
megafawn 1 year ago
cause every moment longer
I was quite sure we're gaining speed
the outcome seemed more certain
approaching terminal velocity
and I thought about the movies
a ball of flames, exploding noise
and all of it so romantic
falling down the mountain, plummetting with my boys
megafawn 1 year ago
and that's when we finally hit the ground
careening hundreds of feet
I knew we wouldn't go out pleasantly
(pressed into a tree)
but all the sudden we're just stopped there
intact, our limbs and heads
silent and not moving
amazed to find that we're not dead
-
we're amazed that we're not dead

David Karsten Daniels( is that his real name?) is amazing! Screw the guy at 1:28 who dares to walk away from such amazingness.
