I still remember a blacked out room at buddies camp, aromatic smoke, thick in the room, 48" black light tube on, super high on LSD, cold beer , BL posters and a huge Canadian Flag covering the ceiling and grooving to this song ... seems like light-years ago ... yes I know ... it was : )
before satan fell he had comerce between the planets, he traveled to each destination in a planet caravan. then he was cast to earth, it has become his prison planet
Every living thing's got their own opinion. What I wanted to say is there are too many copycats around there! Why not try the dutch symphonic EPICA ( witn an opera-voice)
or APOCALYPTICA (some stunning cello-playing) .I never had the'WE'-feeling. I'm a composer myself (love all kinds'a stuff). For all I'm certain...It's MUSIC that matters!
It's amazing how original metal can be. This dudes created the genre, but yet no one ever copied them, they were just inspired. Originality can be used to tell weather it's good or bad metal.
You're probably right then, mate, when it becomes to overexpose yourselves in B&W !
No,seriously ! The bands you are talking about here, are pretty good musicians, though.
But that's not the case here. Too many singers think they're James' héééy yeah, héééy' Hettfield! Well, if you just would listen to the timbre of Ian Gillan or Robert Plant , or guitarriffs or solos played by Page or Blackmore, you would tell the difference! Try the most underrated guitarplayer ever... Rory Gallagher! Cheers!
At the end of this delightful psychedelic song ,you can hear Tony Iommi playing a
blues-solo.With new metalbands, you don't hear that anymore.
Bands like "sabbath","purple"and"zeppelin"learned to play the chords from their rhythm & blues & rock'roll heroes back then! There was freedom in structure and variety in songs. THEY PLAYED WHAT THEY LIKED!
When I was in my 20s and early 30s, I blew off a lot of classic rock as being fossilized. As I've become an old man who's slowed down, I've come to appreciate all the nuances that I took for granted like solos, harmonies, arrangements, etc.
I will always an 80s/early 90s metal fan, but the music of the 60s and 70s is simply amazing.

This is a song I was listening to when I finally had sexual intercourse with a beaver. And I lost my entire cock and balls because beavers bite hard.

the only thing i don't like about this song is that it doesn't last for 12 hours, long enough to last thru a good acid trip
