  • Nile and Bernard are the last two great American composers of the twentieth century. They will be remembered and danced to for centuries....count on it.

  • 這支影片我看得超級開心!

    這首是小巴的主題曲哦,我超愛小巴的!

    He is the greatest dancer!

  • Sister Sledge, love your music . Also, you have aged like fine wine

  • Aw, where's the fourth Sister Sledge member?

  • it was 1996

    r i p bernard his last gig

  • what else can I say.. How fucking awesome !

This is the one of the coolest songs ever. It just gets my whole body moving and grooving... I'm speecheless

  • Is benard the one in the white suit?

  • @dutico Bernard Edwards is the guy playing the stingray bass in the gray suit. A player I highly admire. Apparently he willed the bass to John Taylor of Duran Duran after his unfortunate death.

  • What year was this? These gurlz looks damn good!

  • @Spiritree41 YES THEY ARE HOT

  • Romeo, was getting it!

  • Wow! I hadn't seen the girls since they were kids! Debbie, Joanie, Kim, Kathy Sledge. All but Kathy are in their 50s now, and they look good! Sorry to see this was Bernard Edwards' swan song.

  • @IrisMG No Kathy is 51 now ;)

  • @dutico Really? I'll be 50 in a couple months, I thought she was younger than me. Thanks

  • @IrisMG Np

  • i will never died with this music

  • Great Song written about me.

  • I would have loved to be at this concert but that MC Hammer cast off dancer would have got on my nerves

  • In the video you can´t see it but Basist Bernard Edwuards was suffering of appendicitis, I guest he was feeling so much pain, He was taken to the hospital at the end of the show but he´ve already developed into peritonitis. the infection was too masive and he died next day...

  • I love Disco! The rhythmically challenged banned together to destroy this music. Out of pure jealousy. Burning disco records because you have no rhythm.

  • This show was taped in 1996, one day before Bernard Edward died. in this show they also have as guest Slash in the Guitar to play "Le Freak" and Steve Winwood to play "Stone Free", the album was released in 2002 and the video on DVD in 2006

  • @cantoresdefreites I have to pick up this dvd. Wow, this was Bernard's last preformance? RIP Bernard Edwards... you could really thump on the bass.

  • NYC ,you got the dancing down Romeo

  • @ncast54 i just not sure or he wears gucci :)

  • @nerukauzoles I always believe he wears Gucci, mostly likely shoes or maybe some type of jewelry.

  • This is a classic one. Fantastic! Thank you for posting!

  • What would this world be without New Yorkers? Boring, that's what.

  • They look fly in this vid. Age did nothing on them, great!

  • he´s the greatest dancer .. no doubt... falling in love with chic & the sisters

  • wow, this is great, totally fantastic , thanks for posting, male 45 England!! brilliant

  • God was looking for a bassist for HIS band !! That's why he took Bernard !! Thank you Maestro Bernard for your talent and all the timeless music . Rest in peace and vaya con Dios compadre.

  • now we no why kathy sing the lead on every song she had the best voice

  • Comment removed

  • @gemmni1 Kim can and has sounded alot better theen this. I think she was just having fun, and not singing at the peak of her vocal ability. Listen too tracks easy strret, one more time, and next time you'll know if you don't beleive me.

  • One of my all time favorite singing groups singing one of my all time favorite songs. Sister Sledge still looks and sounds good.

  • Sister sledge still looks hot.

  • Some of the last pictures of the most cool bassist, Bernard Edwards. That's the sad about this.

    R.I.P.

  • They just don't write dance tracks like this anymore, as good as CHIC in the 70's I think so.

  • DAM YOU SAID IT BROTHER!

  • sexy bass

  • listen carefully, the bass duo of nile and bernard and the chic strings in the back ground is INCREDIBLE!

  • @cassiusalien yes yes yes...that Bernard and Niles Rogers..those crazy bass lines..listen to Diana Ross, upside down too..thats them...

  • @cassiusalien I see you what you mean. Professionals, lol. I also find the chorus harmonies quite interesting too.

  • The bass kicks ass. RIP Bernard.

  • for the greatest dancer.............MJ RIP

  • I saw Debbie Sledge a few times in 2003, 2004 and 2008.....

  • Love this song..if this don't want to make you dance..you got problems..

  • one of the best rb, disco ,pop rock and roll songs ever! should be in rs 500 greatest songs!

  • WHAT NICE LOOKING SISTERS!!

  • My gosh....Debbie and Kim still look great. Still slim and all on the other hand Joni has put on a little weight, but still fabulous regardless. They all look beautiful. I wish Kathy had performed with them.

  • This was back in the mid-nineties just so you know ;)

  • lol at kimberlene, this was 1996 LOL! not 2009. erm also joni was pregnant then, so she looked big

  • I know Kimberlene is silly :)

  • It's wonderful Sister Sledge is still performing and they still sound great. But I always love Kathy's raspy sexy lead vocals so I'm disappointed not seeing her here.

  • STRICTLY RETURNIN' thangs...

  • nice very nice

love it when i make love with my wife

and 4 now drinkin my beer

  • I am very big fan and love it.

  • a series of commemorative concerts in Japan, which provided a career retrospective. Unfortunately, his longtime musical partner Edwards (Bass) died of pneumonia at age 43 during the trip on April 18, 1996. His final performance was recorded and released as Live at the Budokan

Thompson (Drummer) died of kidney cancer on November 12, 2003, at age 48.

  • those women look very elegant in their outfits!

  • They are Great !!!

  • Does anyone have "We Are Family" from this show?

  • yes you this certainty, made confusion with the date of one another show that I have here, you forgive.

  • @ByMagraoDj Who is this greatest dancer? Shabadoo?

  • Bernard himself died after a show in 1996in Japan.....

  • which year is this recorded?

  • Olá Elizabeth, this video was of the show of the CHIC in Japan in 2003 that it had SISTER SLEDGE as invited in the show, unhappyly after this show the Bernard stock exchange operator of the CHIC died in the room of the hotel.

  • @ByMagraoDj

umm this was actually in 1996 when bernard died.. this was when japan invited nile rogerds and chic for his jt super producer of the year award... budokan arena.. 1996...nile rogers found him in his hotel room... if this was 2003 then bernard must of been a ghost

  • @ByMagraoDj Bernard was most importantly the bass player, aswell as other duties. It's a shame he's dead. He was a great musician.

  • Nice gams.

  • love this song

  • Thanks!!!

  • Thanks!!!

  • They make me dance in this chair!

Thanks for sharing this nice video.
