Yngwie was so fucking good 25 years ago. Too bad he is like he is now. He should kick Ripper Owens and return to the original Rising Force line-up with Jeff Scott Soto.
@jani14jani Try running around and singing under lights and see if you can keep from gasping for air from time to time....this is real singing and playing....not a recorded backing track and auto tune
@jani14jani...no offence but let them try to sing jet to jet ...dont think so ...they would be coughing blood for weeks....not too many singers can even get close to bonnets range...take a listen to msg assault attack ....pretty amazing what this guy can do....all the best
young yngwie kicks old yngwies ass he had much more speed and talent when he was young after his accident his tone changed and hes not been at the top of his game since
@shredmaster100 I totally agree. The Yngwie of Alcatrazz seemed to have been tempered a great deal. When left to his own devices he displays a worrying propensity for over-indulgence. He seems much more focused and tighter with Alcatrazz. Honestly, I think from a pure talent point of view, Yngwie had the most potential out of all the 80's "shredders". He could have been much bigger. His early solo material (up till Trilogy) is actually quite good. After that he seemed to lose it.
actually I think Odyssey, though much less of a guitar album was actually quite good. If it didn't have his name on it I think it would have been a huge commercial success
yngwie seems happier in these days, its no longer all about him like in his band, i mean really nowadays if he changes bassists or drummers who would know, but i like him in this environment
Young Yngie should live on, too bad he got worse after his young days. Nowadays he is a mediocre writer though technical god. But back in the early/mid 80-s nobody could challange his tecnhique nor his songwriting abilities.
Listen to the structure and instrumental breaks in the Vandenberg song "Kamikazi". I wonder who ripped off who? It's more than obvious someone was listening to someone.

Graham is so awesome. His look is totally un-metal to the point of being bizarre---it's rebellious actually! Not very daring to have the standard Def Lepard look is it? Graham comes on stage dressed like someone from Weekend and Bernie's----that takes nerve!!! Very rock n roll...
He has definitely performed with some very elite axemen in his day.
@400SA I 've always thought the same that it took balls not to dress like Don Dokken ( fashion victim) and just rock out with a voice that bring the walls down!
Dio and Yngwie did a cover of Aerosmith's Dream On. And they and also did a song called We're Stars, with many other metal stars. The songs are on Ytube.
G Edman is BY FAR the most polished and consistent live vocalist Y Malm EVER HAD,,soto was great on album, but G Ed was awesome and a great guy to meet too
Man you can just see in bonnets face, that he cannot stand Yngwie and his star quality.. Bonnet always had a problem with Yngwie when he should have just soaked it all in while he could.

@necktwister at least yngwie can still play when hes drunk...eddie needed to give it up a few years ago. what a waste of talent.
