whats amazing about this song, is that she made it 12 miles from mm203 to mm215 on empty, in a 64 ford, (which only would've had a 20 gal. tank) to begin with. only getting around 17mpg from the factory. AND, she STILL had 41 miles to go from mm215 to get to a gas station....very well written song...

@lisserkb1 Been there myself & survived it. I've only got 2 kids, both daughters though the oldest married over a year ago & now we have 2 grandsons (step-grandsons but grandsons nonetheless). Doesn't feel as if I'm old enough to have a grown college-grad & married daughter let alone a Grams w/the deal. It's all good tho, she's got a great man, a lot like the one who raised her w/me (not my ex; her"sperm donor" as she calls him, but my 2nd DH of 20+yrs) Best of all, we're both happy.

julie roberts is one of the most underated and unapreciated country singers. she has such a unique husky voice that is unlike any other female country artist around, as well as a unique style of music, which she writes. she deserves more credit than what she is given.

One of my favorites. And my go-to karaoke song. I just wish her makeup wasn't so glammed up in this--it's a song about someone feeling very raw. She should look it. Great song, though.
