  • This song is cool! I really love it. Ros serey sothea is the queen of pop in 60 and 70s.

  • cool song.....! I really love this song.

  • cool song.....!

  • "&fmt=18" i didnt know that, tnx

  • I loooove this song but it always makes me sad. I picture her looking forward halfway then looking back at him with tears in her eyes. Tissue anyone?

  • All men are like grass,

and all their glory is like the flowers of the field.

The grass withers and the flowers fall !

    Isaiah Ch. 40 V. 6&7

Beautiful song that says this verse in another way!

  • i can only wish that the lady singer is still alive. her voice is absolutely amazing

  • so nostalgic

  • For those of you who may be interested in helping. The director of the short film/documentary Don't think I've forgetten pledges for a fund raising. YT doesn't allow to publish the address. It's kickstarter (dot com)

    /projects

    /688883255/dont-think-ive-forgotten-cambodia-lost-rock-n-roll

I would highly encourage those who can afford to do so. These artists gave us so much; it's the least that we can do for them. As for me, Sin Sisamuth and Ros Sereysothea make my day!! LOL

  • it's hard to hear the vioce of the signer. anybody got the same problem as me.

Love Cambodia where i was born and grow up .

  • @veasnakim99

sometimes youtube compresses the file into mono format from stereo. If you type " &fmt=18 " at the end of the web address, it will be in stereo and should fix that problem. ;-)

  • @veasnakim99 i cannnot event hear the voice

  • @veasnakim99

    Where are you now?

  • I just love this song!

    A true golden voice.

I wonder what it's like during the golden age..

  • @jeffmagic32

I have some old VN cassettes that i could post up

Mostly TÌNH CA NHẠC TRẺ cassettes

They sound like rock and roll songs, like the other day my friend said, "if they released a Cambodian Rocks cd, then you could take those cassettes and make a Vietnamese Rocks cd".

  • this gives me the goose bumps

  • hits me in the heart.... dear gosh... =( beautiful song!!!

  • Love this song. Im vietnamese, and for me to find quality music like this from vietnam even on this channel is difficult. Any clues?

  • Ros Sothea bless your soul for all the beautiful music. Definitely one of my favorite artist in any genre of music. Her voice is genuine and powerful. I compare her to Billy Holiday with prettier voice.

  • Below is my note to my dear friend, Montha! :)

  • Merry xmas Jeff and merry xmas everybody. Happy holidays!!!

  • Yes, when you listen to her voice, read the lyrics, then reflect on her life and fate...the song becomes even more poignant and beautiful.

  • I'm freaking crying. There's absolutely no words to describe how this song makes me feel. Thanks Jeff for posting this and all the other great classics on here.

  • ros, sinn and the great cambodian ladies just does the most beautiful music ever

  • jeffmagic32, thanks for posting all these great songs! one thing i have to point out though, there's a part in the song at 2:53 where it skips. I've recently fallen in love with cambodian music and youtube seems like the only way to get any of these songs and share them with other people. is this imperfection the result of uploading the song or is it in the recording you have? i would love to get a version without that skip somehow...

  • her vocal range is amazing

  • this song is AMAZING. i have been listening to and playing music for my entire life and never has any song gave me chills like this one. first time i heard it i was moved to tears and replayed it like 20 times in a row. beautiful lyrics too.

  • Great, wonderful music !

  • what a sweet song, one of of the real gems... just unbelievable, so thankful we have not lost this to time

  • Gotta love that beat. I probably play this song more than any others while driving. It just make you feel good, wanting to bust a move. :)

  • Thank you jeffmagic for all the Ros, been looking for this stuff since I saw city of ghosts.Anybody have any ideas where I can buy this,is it easy to find in Cambodia?

  • This is great, I just heard about Khmer Rock on the radio today and I'm loving it. This song would sound fucking ace remixed

  • i disagree - some things need not to be adulterated and tampered with.

  • One of the best Sothea song. The lyric, the insturments and voices goes together so perfectly.

  • FUCK YEAH!!! that's the shit i'm talking about!!!! You Cambodians always hit the right notes. I love to be apart of something this special. Thank you for YOUR MUSIC!!!

  • She definitely was the Golden Voice of the Royal Capital. Sometimes I wish we could go back to the Golden Age of Khmer music. Sometimes I wonder what happened... but then we all know what happened. It's just nice that we still have these recordings.

  • wow I am so surprised, it is a kind of psychedelic pop

  • miss miss miss

  • I look to the sky, the sky's so far. I look to the sun, the sun is as far. Water's waves crash & swirl. I reminisce, I feel a sadness. A sadness that makes my heart burst. I remember the hand you used to hold. I'll miss you. Our love has melted away.

We will part; I'll miss you. Don't miss me baby. All right my baby, my pretty baby. Karma is forcing us to part. This life & the next, my baby. I'll wish for you. Hopefully, I'll get what I wished for: That I'll meet you in every life after this

    :)

  • what a beautiful voice ...

  • You should have see Ros Sereysothea in person, she sound just like the video. In

April 1975, she was in Pailin and visited my father, I was in my teen I followed her. Until she got off 2 ways radio from her husband, was scorning her about having fun and forgot about the kids. She had a sad expression in her face and went back to Phnom Pehn.

  • oh, it is very sad that she returned to PP in April, but I'm sure she missed her family. Still, it is very cool that you got to meet her in person.

  • I don't think, Ros ever made it to PP. She probadly got stuck in Battambang, I recalled the road from Battambang to PP was block. Only military personels were able to fly not civilians. In 1975, Pailin was the only place that was safe heaven. After the war, the Khmer Rouge afraid to come in,the town people invited them in, said the Giant(my father nickname giving by the Khmer Rouge ) not there. They afraid of my father so bad, they waited for the back-up.

  • Really?? You saw her face to face?? Omg!! That is so AWESOME!!!! I wish you could take me with you!!!

  • very good, thank you for doing it. your work is great. keep doing it, hope to see more of your music vedio.

  • love it....thanks you for share
