  • this the drum track from radiohead

  • Thumbs up for Pedicabs!

  • Nice time-lapse movie! smooth! Do you know you can make time-lpase movies with any camera with this device: (copy address to browser): tempusALL.bymac.org

Works with ANY camera! cool :P

  • wow! I found freddiew!! hahaha

  • i live in Austin TX and the only thing i hate about SXSW is the fuckin traffic! i cant get anywhere!!!!!!!

  • I love the tilt shift work!!! Adds a lot of dimension to the video. Good work!!!

  • Austin is the coolest fucking city man. I miss it and all the unique, enthusiastic, wonderful people there!

  • @wctwctwctwct i sort of miss it too but don't even bother trying to move back, there are no good jobs available...everyone is working temp jobs or low paying jobs...sucks :(

I just visit as much as I can :)

  • @stop08it

Ahh that blows. I'm a college student and I need to transfer...both my parents went there. I can't find a half decent job either =/

  • @wctwctwctwct don't give up on going to school there!! at least you can garner financial aid and scholarships. i thought you meant you wanted to live there on your own, there's not much financial aid available for that lol...

  • This is amazing...I LOVE a good timelapse! :)

  • what song is this? i love it.

  • EITS?

    Great video!

  • Fredie wong is the dude playing the gutair hero he is one of youtubes most popular movie makers

  • I love being an austinite!

  • Beautiful film. Tilt shifts, nice long exposures at night, composed shots, creative editing. It's hard to believe you didn't get shaken down for setting sticks in the airport. Tripods are the antichrist at DC airports!

  • Tilt-shift meets sped-up video time lapse... hot

  • i love this music

  • what is that type of perspective time lapse called? where part of it is out of focus and everything looks like toys like 1:16

  • @NOTSODOTCALM that would be tilt-shift :)

  • 2:10 lol the asains

  • Awesome time lapse, congrats man.

    love tilt shift effect

  • great!!!!

  • What camera was used? Plz Reply I really want to know!!!

  • What camera did you use? Im a filmaker as well!!

  • I want to say the Nikon D3. I'm not sure if it was the that or the D3X or D3S, but one of the above.

  • just one of the reasons why i love living in austin so much.

  • what camera did you film on?

  • OK, so I live in Argentina, and the week after SXSW a newspaper here wrote an article about it, and used this video as a link. It's been two years since we made this, and I had not looked at it in about that long. Thank you so much for all of the love! It was super fun to make, and I have to say I like it now a lot more than I did when we first finished it. Thank you everyone for all of your support! I was so sure no one would see this, it's such a nice surprise to find out otherwise.

  • what's this song though?

  • oh shit!!! oh shit!! that's what it's all about. that is it. Make one for 2010 please!!!! it was amazing this year. the bands, the love, the people.

  • 2:13

  • That's just strange.. I haven't got any trouble at all and i'm on 2mb/s

  • maybe ur pc/mac needs updating?

  • This style reminds me of that French Filmmaker who does Stop-Mo:

These guys did something screwy with the lens so it looks like all of the people are really far away and look like action figures.

  • absolutely amazing! one of the best time-lapse videos i've ever seen! awesome music too! :D

  • This video is amazing

  • great video ;D

  • Cool!!!

  • great work!

  • wonderful!

  • Nice Job!!

  • I love This!!

  • greatest all-around place on this planet

  • love it. the music sounds like radiohead song Weird fishes/Arpeggi

  • That's exactly what I said lol.

  • Wow this great & well made too :o)

  • This is why I love living in Austin

  • thanks for all the great comments and feedback, everyone!

  • cooooool!!

  • Nice video footage and editing!

  • FIRE!!

  • I love how you use your tilt and shift lens! I really need to get one of those...

  • Breathtaking! Exhausting! How in the world? Throw us a bone... how did you do that? Brilliant compostion!!!

  • really puts things in perspective.

  • This makes me proud to live in Austin. It's a great place.

  • Nice work Super! Did they end up paying you fairly for your hard work?

  • Is this a real timelapse? or just recorded video speeded up?

  • it's real!

  • Cool beans....I really like it.

Did you use an intelovemeter (pardon my spelling) or a camera hooked up to a laptop?

  • @jameswoods60 Thats what a timelaps is

  • @VidPro95 I would say a timelapse would be a series of still photographs taken at regualar intervals, then played back at a "normal" rate. Other wise it is just a video effect? So I guess it depends on what frame rate the original footage was captured at if it was captured using a video camera.

  • @jameswoods60 LOl what is the difference?

One is you record at 30 (or 60)FPS and then drop every other 5 frames and playback at 150fps and reencode at 30fps.

The other is you take a picture every .5 secs and playback at 30fps.

i just threw numbers in there but BOTH are true forms of timelapse....

The sped up version is more flexible as you can change the speed of the video and have different playback rates.

With a picture every 5 secs you can only speed it up more, NEVER can you slow it down

  • @viper19861986 Thx for the technical details, wasn't sure there was a "false" way to do time lapse, love your explanation technical, yet totally understandable :)

  • @jameswoods60 isnt that what a timelapse video is? lmfao

  • I was traveling through Austin on my way to Phoenix or L.A. in the 80s. After a few days here I decided then that I would never leave.

  • omfg i knew that kid playing guitar hero on the left

  • liked this video very much(esp at a time im having) i have a question, what kind of music, what genre is this song, im so captured by it

  • Just listen to Radiohead's CD Rainbow, song Weird Fishes/Arpeggi and you'll know.

  • Well yeah it is obvious that he likes radiohead. But you know is hard to call any kind of music original now. Every musician is influence by another. I'll say his song is original yet not unique.

  • this creator of this video apparently likes the latest Radiohead album. Sounds good though!

  • The music on this is SO badass. but it does sound like arpeggi, yet different. sweet video. I plan on moving there within the next year. Maybe attend my first SXSW :]

  • the best damn festival in the best damn city... PERIOD.

  • Awesome.

  • Goes to show that LIFE is short. WHAT are we living for? What are our goals in life? Life will fade away like the withering leaves of fall. I live in the country and enjoy the peace and quite of the running rivers, forests, and no people.

  • umm.. cute comment, ideal and all. but you're on the internet posting comments on youtube. strangely ironic, i am too. but... *meh* its all pointless anyways.

  • AMAZING

  • Beautiful:)! Also sort of reminds me that life is short.

  • ahmazing

  • nice

  • dope sick fantastic

  • Wow. That was so well done. Thanks!

  • *_*

  • anybody have a link to the music?

  • What camera is this?

  • Only a city as great as Austin could do this! Thank god I live there!

  • so do you

  • cap city my home!

  • I hate these HD videos... My speed is not fast enough

  • cool video but it's not entirely accurate to call it "original music"... pretty much all of it is just taken and rearranged from "arpeggi" by radiohead... just putting that out there

  • Actually it sounds like none of it was taken from Arpeggi since that is not what is playing.

  • love it.

  • this is sick!

  • 2:26 damn look at the big d00d!

  • lol hes lonley

  • Really Great!

  • Awesome!

  • amazing

  • nice..good use of a Tilt-Shift Lens..

what's the camera you used for this great work?

  • does anyone else think this song kinda sounds like Wierd Fishs by Radiohead?

  • yes. the drums are practically identical

  • very similar, drums, and layered arpeggi, has sort of a different mood maybe

  • amazing. cant wait till next SXSW

  • me nethier last year was greaaaaaaat!

  • that video was awesome. i'm from austin and have been to sxsw many times. well done

  • lol at chinese guys playing guitars really quick =))))))

  • that was lovely. what lenses did you use shooting that? bits of it looked very tilt-shifty, was that done in post?

  • is that tortoise playing? nice film. would like to see it on a big screen.

  • The song sounds like a rip off of Weird Fishes by Radiohead...hardcore.

  • amazing video, well done!

  • well that was great

  • I'll suscribe to you if you suscribe to me

  • deal ha!

  • The way the camera settings are it makes everything seem small

  • tilt shift at 1:13 is a really interesting effect in the time lapse. I like.

    pg ;-)

  • glad someone else noticed that lol. Sounds quite a lot like weird fishes off In Rainbows I thought. Chan page says it orig work by Kevin Schneider

  • i was there at the scott h biram show very cool video!!!

  • Inspiring movie, although I felt that some of the "miniature" clips didn't work, and you just ended with a blurry video instead of the miniature effect.

  • i love living in austin! great vid. really captures the vibe of this event :)

  • Both music and video are awesome!!!

  • Unique.

  • Timelapses are always fun to watch! This one was very well done!
