Brown recluses are native to the US Gulf coast, where they need the humidity and heat to survive. The "mean mo-fo spiders" in Iraq aren't actually spiders, but arachnids known as Solifugids that are just as closely related to scorpions as spiders.
the color seems wrong for that species, but that could just be the video quality. females are bigger than males, yet why rule out it being a female that isn't fully grown? but hey! far be it from me to peg you as an amateur!
The enlarged pedipalps give it away as a male. very few spiders get that big, and tegenarias can vary widely in color. I've caught about 20 of these myself, mostly in wood piles. They are the worlds fastest true spider, clocked at 1.18mph.
I found three of these spiders in my house, and they have quite big fangs for their size, so i looked into it. There's an interesting article on the BBC's website on them, and appararently they are from Italy, they came here a few years ago. I live in Scotland btw :)

True hobo spiders (tegenaria agrestis) only live one year and don't get that big though. Tegenaria duellica, AKA tegeneria gigantea, AKA giant European house spider, is quite common in both Europe and northwest US. This is the most likely candidate.

I had a spider like this in my bed. I heard some noise outside. I was going to check out what it was, but when i turned on the lights, a big bastard was running in my bed. I didn't sleep in that bed for a long time...

That there is a wolf spider. There found all over the place in Europe. My father and I caught on and looked just like that.
Brown recluses are much smaller then that. They live right outside my house and i see them every day.

Its a European house spider! Pretty big, very fast, completely harmless.
