They also did NOT HIDE somewhere out of the EYE OF THE PUBLIC like they were ashamed of what they were doing. They went to a creek or pond or lake someplace where they KNEW many people who were NOT OF THE FAITH were present.

Today we can't even get Christians to share their faith,, with a friend. They are afraid they will upset someone. Meanwhile their so-called FRIEND is still UN-"SAVED"..

The least they could do is be baptized in open Public and let the Pastor preach to the lost folks.

You might say well what did these men of past centuries do in the winter time when everything was frozen solid? That's why baptism can be put off till spring or even summer time. IT DOES NOT SAVE. It would not be doing it's job anyway because the lost are not going to go out in the winter and watch a baptism ceremony. These preachers knew that we were justified by Faith / Repentance, and did the baptism of those who were saved in winter , IN the good ole summer time, when folks were outside.

Water baptism is done today inside the church building in built -in baptisamal pools. Baptisms today look more like Hot Tub Parties than a baptism. It's preaching to the choir.

George Whitfield, Charles Spurgeon, D.L. Moody, Billy Sunday & others ALWAYS made sure the baptism took place in the EYE OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC just as John the Baptist did as a witness unto Christ to the lost souls who looked on. John preached repentance unto "Christ" just as the Apostles, in different way. ACTS 19:4

How can water baptism be used as a witness if not done in public? It has no other purpose but to be a ceremony ot symbolism...a witness to others of what has ALREADY taken place in the believer's life.

Evidently after John's baptism had become defunct - replaced by the baptism of the Great Commission. Also, bear in mind that these BELIEVERS had not received the SPIRIT for some reason. Why was that? Saved people - people with faith - but NO HOLY SPIRIT. Why?

John's baptism however is much more than symbolism. It leads to salvation.

John and Jesus worked in perfect harmony , John's baptism was a preaching of the Gospel. John was'nt saving souls he was "WINNING SOULS" . John's baptism sowed seeds and Jesus was {and is} the harvester. Salvation is of God alone.

Your H2o Baptism did NOT save YOU it leads to the salvation of others. That's why it's supposed to be done in the open public NOT inside a building someplace. We do NOT do that anymore.

John's baptism in Acts 19:-2 does not save Paul says:

Baptism is a where one contacts the blood of Christ. Acts 22:16 says baptism washes away our sins and Rev.1:5 says the blood of Christ washes away our sin so therefore we contact the blood of Christ in baptism. Baptism is not all there is to salvation. One must first believe, repent, and confess and then be baptised. Baptism is the point at which one receives the cleansing blood of Christ. Rom 6:3-6 He's not arguing with the CC, hes arguing with the bible.

where in the Word of God are you begotten by faith alone by hearing? there are three elements important for salvation and you need all three for salvation.

John 5:6-10This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. 7For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

In other words, if God felt it necessary to witness of His Son through water, blodd and Spirit, for us to say it takes less is to make God a lier, because that is what God has declared is necessary. Those who believe recieve the witness of all three in them- blood=repentance, water=water baptism in Jesus name, Spirit=Holy Spirit baptism as on the day of Pentecost.

Paul was talking to a mature church who already been baptist in Jesus name and who spoke in tongues has evidence of the holy spirit.. you need to harmonizes all the scriptures and books of the Bible together.. baptism is part of the gospel message not outside it.. to say so would go against the direct teachings the word of God. And what Peter preached on the day of Pentecost since God gave Peter the keys to our salvation plan..

Nope. Did you listen to all 14 parts of this vid? In Acts 10:43-44 Cornelius & friends recieved the Holy Ghost BEFORE they were baptized. Do unprepentant children of te devil speak in tongues? No! Read Romans 3,4, 5 beore you quote ch.6 Here is v 5:1: 'Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ'

Acts,the 10th Chapter-There was a devout man in Caesarea called Cornelius.He was a man of prayer and loved God with all his house.. This doesnt mean he was saveds. In a vision, an angel told him to send for Peter and he would tell him what he ought to do.

In Acts 10 Cornelius and his house were filled with the Holy Ghost & spoke in tongues. Does God give the gift of the Holy Spirit to unrepentant Children of the devil?

Right before that Peter says "...whoever BELIEVES in Him will receive remission of sins" Acts 10:43.

Bapstism came AFTER they spoke in tongues in v. 48. They belived FIRST,were saved and were baptized later.

Peter said in Acts 10:43: "through His name, whoever BELIEVES in Him will receive remission of sins."

You misinterpret Acts 2:38. The word "FOR remission of sins" does not mean "to obtain". It means "on behalf of".

Example: Go to the store FOR (obtain)a loaf of bread.

OR: Go to the store FOR (my behalf) me.

In Acts 2:38 Peter is saying to be baptized on ON BEHALF of the remission of sins NOT to obtain it. Acts 10:43, 13:39, 16:31 PROVES that you will be saved if you believe. NO BAPTISM.
