@CRG1958: Nothing is ever wasted if it's for GOD. Over the years, we can see how some Hollywood Star are blessed but lost themselves tragically while brightest in the limelight---that is clearly what waste is all about.
She may have had the character to escape the cesspool of much of Hollywood, but her decision helped protect her from the fate visited upon many actresses.
Today is Christmas eve and this is the most inspirational story of life, love, and belief that I've seen in a long time. I now understand why she walked away from Hollywood . . .
Thanks so much for posting this. She was one of my favorites back there. I still remember hearing the news that she was going to be a cloistered nun! That beautiful, lively young lady was going to be locked away forever! I figured she must have really had a calling to do that. Becoming a sister was surprising, but a cloistered nun? A Hollywood beauty tossing filmland on its side. Wow. It works for her and I'm so happy for her. May God bless you, Mother Dolores.
@magiccasements Tell that to all the lovers who leave each other for someone or something else (i.e. college or a new job in another place). Hearts are broken everyday for all kinds of reasons. As they say, all is fair in love and war. Mature people understand this and move on with life.
I found this interesting, I never realised how many films she made and her spiritual calling must have been very strong to give everything up, her beauty really stands out still.
Money, success and fame in this world, pales in comparison to eternity with Christ.
Simply beautiful.
