  • Why did this make me cry?

  • @animecrazynerd idk man, beautiful i guess

  • I Touched Building When Bell Rang It Was Viberating

  • Were going on a school field trip to Parliament.. Were going up to the top of it to view Ottawa from it.

  • Hi Sooth15, nice video. The Peacetower is definitely an iconic symbol of Canada’s capital! You should consider submitting this to the Canada’s Got Treasures collection by joining our YouTube group (/group/TresorTreasure). It would be made available on our channel and website. Help celebrate Canadian diversity!

    Hamish,

  • why dont thay let people up to see the bells?

  • @thekylejohn1 I haven't got a clue.

  • @thekylejohn1 you see them when going up in the elevator

  • @thekylejohn1

    Good day

If you were standing beside the bells,..& it happened that it was time for them to ring,....believe me you'd regret being so close eh!

    ...they are....to put it mildly....

    Kinda loud!!

  • I saw it. HOw do the gears work?

  • Ok then tell me what chords the bells are ringing

  • Chords, I don't know, but the tower has 53 bells, ranging in size from the 4.5 kg (10 lb.) A-bell 16.6 cm (7 in.) in diameter to the 10,160 kg (22,400 lb.) bourdon tuned to E.

  • @sooth15 all the bells can be controlled and are attached to an electric piano that you can play pretty much anything

  • @TheRCAC The carillon is not electric. It's controlled by cables that run up to the clappers of each bell, which are counterbalanced by strong springs. The tension on each bell/key has to be adjusted before each performance, because of differences caused by temperature, etc. The Westminster sequence, however, is controlled electronically. Otherwise all musical performances are done by a person.

  • @sooth15 When i was there for a tour with my squadron the tour guide told us it was electric

  • @TheRCAC Just go watch the video on YouTube called "The Voice of the Peacetower".

  • chords?!....

  • Can you please make a video of what the bells look like when they're ringing?

  • 1: I don't live in Ottawa, 2: The bells don't move when they ring (only the hammers move), and 3: They don't let people up to see the bells.

  • @emmettsgirl981 1 he dosent live in ottawa 2 the bells dont move when thay ring only the hamers move and 3 thay dont let peapiol up to see the the the bells

  • I think it's just as nice. Besides, why do wall clocks and clock towers and sirens have to copy the tune?

  • perhaps because the tune is very simple.

  • sounds a bit pants compared to big ben,

  • corse it does, big ben is 20x better!

  • what a nice, rich, warm sound.
