  • so good

  • can't get that song out of my head

  • I have never seen a romantic music video before where a girl is happily working at a factory.

  • CHACHI CALLED AND HE WANTS HIS SUIT BACK DUDE SO STOP FARTING IN IT.

  • he! hehe~ ho!ho!ho~

  • Fiparam!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • why didnt she go and see him? i feel bad for him

  • Does anyone have any idea of when this is from?

  • I think it's a movie from the late eighties, begin nineties, assuming the Volvo 240. It's definetly not older than 25 years.

  • @dirkseerden The Pyongyang tramway opened in 1991, so the video can't be older than that. (Trams appear at 1:15 onwards.)

  • @AnotherGagHalfrunt Indeed, so it dates from the early nineties, I just wanted to make clear that it is not a video from the seventies like some people might think and already commented.

  • Nice Volvo 240 at 0.22!

  • is this how modern north korea is??

im proud to be south korean!! :)

  • These are 80s. This song was a real hit! The Great Leader was alive.

  • @xxehmagodxx right on! i am a south korean :D

  • really different from south korean songs, both are good, just different styles! i can taste traditional feel from north and modern one from south korea, it is not bad!

  • the guy is cute here, but the girl's expression is kind of fake

  • i guarantee you that the north korean government is putting these ridiculous comments. this song sucks ass. i guess this is true korean karaoke since there is no american pop culture influences there.

  • @sleighte - While I acknowledge your respect to the fact that the song is not America influenced, it seems that you are a fond follower of American (Cultural) Imperialism by commenting something not "America influenced" as "sucking ass". Nice to meet you though, as I am an American Imperialism supporter myself.

  • Does anyone knoe what this song is called?

  • 'hi-pa-ram' = whistle

  • Great song, but the girl really looks quite bourgouise with her ear-studs and Alice band!

With the blue outfit at the end of the video she'd be fine going to an executive job interview in Japan or Hongkong..

But wait a second, she's a factory worker!

Kudos to North Korea for a great song though and for striving for good conditions for normal workers.

  • good.i love.korean music

  • Не ну видеоклип мировой, чего вы хотите? А как в Корейской Народно-демократической Республике действительно и так не узнаю, если живут это значит, что ещё не наиболее плохо ;)

  • what u say?

  • I said that this video is good and I don't know why some people want something from it ;P And how is in DPR of Korea we never'd know and if they are alive it means there isn't too bad. U understand? Sorry for my English ;)

  • i thought this was a south korean song at first

  • I enjoyed this song several days ago in a north korean restaurant located in Ji'an China 。The song's beautiful, but the young NK singers are more beautiful!

  • There is no lights in Pyongyang! (In real life)

  • Yes, you are right, MountainOfLove1.

  • One Republic Of Korea! hey guys! check my video "Kim il sung with South Korean flag(Taegukgi)" !

  • Saw that video - as a fact the South Korean flag used to be the Flag for the entire of Korea (North and South)

  • I like the song...that girl is a skank! She led him on and then she dissed him!

  • the city looks so dark at night....

  • Only the priviliged North-Koreans (party-members) have a TV, which they get from the government as a reward. And Kim Jong Il doesn't watch TV, he swims in his pool and drinks whisky all day long.

  • you have no idea what you are talking about...everyone has a television with only one channel only the priviliged can live in the cities that's the way it should be...imperialist scum.

  • do you have any proof of your accusations against the dear leader? imperialist scum.

  • Socialism is equility: when the people are hungry, than the leader should be hungry as well. In that point of view, your dear leader is a dictator like all other: a selfish pig.

  • i guess if it were from North Korea ,not the South, it gotta be filmed during Kim Il Sung times. Kim Jong il couldn't have allowed such entertainment. Kim Jong il , fuck yourself.

  • North Korean yuppies?!?

  • hee hee ha ha

  • this video is not south Korean. it is from the DPRK believe it.

  • wtf?

  • This proves that communism is great! Like look at those windows, they're so clean! So clean that stalkers don't see them and they bang their heads! Way to go Kim Jong-il for keeping those windows in your juche land clean!

  • hahaha! so true!

  • looks like a south korean karaoke 30 yrs ago. dont think north koreans have this entertainment at all.

  • I don't think that south koreans wore a badge with a picture of Kim Jong Il on, 30 years ago.

  • This song is well known to South Koreans.

I love it~ very old-fashioned! something that we can not find right now in South Korea.

  • he he he_ ha ha ha_ he he he_ ha ha ha_ he he he_ ha ha ha_ he he_ ha ha ha... DAMN YOU KIM JON IL YOU FAT GREEDY SOB!!!

  • I'm full south korean...If this was from South Korea..it would have came out 40 years ago...look at the video...it looks very old...it shows how north korea is very behind...in everything..

I dare say that those who say this is from south korea need to know some history...

  • this is totally North Korean video... people who say this is South Korean, you obviously dont know Shit about Korea, so please refrain yourselves from stupidity and ignorance. even the sentences are unheard of in S.Korea.

  • This is completely North Korea. even the grammar of the song, and the sentence making is very different from the south.. dont contest with the people who speaks Korean becoz they know better..

  • Wasn't this a popular song for both North and South? I remember my parents singing it one time.

  • fuckin propaganda

  • South korea video.

  • Hui Pa Ram is a famous song from North Korea. This karaoke is from NK , the background is in Pyongyang , the facotries had red banners in communist propaganda, and look carefully at 0:42, the guy has a Kil Il Sung badge the right side of his suit that is required to be worn be all North Koreans.

  • Sorry to disappoint you all, but this is from South Korea, from the 1980s.

  • BA you a moron. That city is Pyongyang. Look at the bus system. Also at the end in the creidts it state his was produced in Pyongyang. Dumbass.

  • NorthKoreaHater,

Despite you immaturely resorting to calling me a "moron" and a "dumbass", I concede that you're correct. I saw the girl's makeup, the guy wearing a suit and tie, and assumed it was South Korea from the 1980s.

Yes, it does say "Pyeongyang" in the credits, but the most obvious sign of all that this is from the DPRK is the red propaganda sign in the girl's factory.

Odd to see a DPRK woman wearing such obvious lipstick and make-up, though, especially if this is an old clip.

  • how come did you think that it is made in south korea.?? why did you think that there is no lipstick and make-up in north korea???

  • U moron!

  • what an idiot... you deserved to be call moron and dumbass. don't think we are immature, cause in our eyes, you are!!

  • Suck me. Long and hard.

  • They don't do this.

  • That girl is such a tease and a b*tch...someone should pimp slap her

  • The Dear Leader would be very disapointed at the comrades lame ass flower throwing!

  • propoganda

  • yep this song became famous in south korea when kim dae-jung(?) met kim jung-il. south korean one of the greatest achievements kim daejung ever made. Probably one of the best presidents of Korea.

  • Kim daejung. one of the best presidents of Korea???? no way.. he was sucks. he just spent too much money for North korea. he didn't do anything to be good for South Korea.

  • Park, he is way better than Roh, Chun, Park, and Lee. Roh is a pussy and rest of them are egomaniac dictators.

  • I agree that Roh is not good president now and rest of them are egomaniac dictators. but even if Park jung hee , former president of korea, was like

egomaniac dictators, most korean think that Park was good president for South korea. he developed South korea's economic. if there was no president like Park in South korean history, South Korea wouldn't become recent south korea.

  • Certainly not most koreans. its more like 50/50.

  • This song is famous in South Korea, either.

  • wtf, look at those smiles. wow communism must really be great. ahahaha. jk... jk.

  • their style never evolved since the 1950's

  • sounds so sad

  • mtv should be on this!!!

  • Bravo! A nice little story and an entertaining song too!

  • cutie!

  • O mamciu!

  • should be on mtv!!

  • no, jaka oznake ma ? od Kim Il Sung
