it was used perfectly in the Platoon, one of the greatest compositions easily, when i first looked at the page, i just saw easy half notes and quarter notes, but this composition is probably one of the hardest pieces to play, both physically and mentally.

sounds ok but its got nowhere near the amount going on in it as tiesto's. having said that William Orbits version truely brought Barber into the club. My overall conclusion: Barber is the bomb, Tiesto ripped it up nice and proper! aint heard anything better. I'm sure Barber would have loved the gear we have today and in his younger years would have stimulated his tune through the roof with overloaded synth sounds! This song is was awesome in it's original version when Samuel Barber composed it. It also was the highest selling classical piece in the iTunes library for a LONG time. But I honestly think NO ONE has taken this raw emotion evoking piece to a new place as Tiesto has, especially his performance for the Parade of the Athletes for the Grecian Olympics. WOW!!!

I am a bedroom DJ mysmelf and this aint bad .. I too remixed this song in a Trance version as Tiesto did n am very proud of my work .. Although I absolutley hate Tiesto his version of this song is just amazing .. Nothing beats Samuel's though .. This does sound much like Tiestos version I think its the synths .. There was little effort put into my remix i only have the same tune over n over again with different synths .. Im sure you put alot more work than I did with remixing this song.good work
