  • Man, glad to see my Bagram A-10 flyby is still out there! That's from 2003 (MD A-10's) shot with the vid mode on a point and shoot, wish I'd had audio. Great job on the vid, keep it up.

  • 0:48 HOLY SHIT

  • Wonder how many folks ever gone off the side of that chopper wondering "This strap is hooked up right?"

  • just want to thank all the brave men and women bravely risky there lives for our freedom! THANK YOU ALL

  • name of the song is Soil- breaking me down

  • @istonehf22lz Everyone in this video is a TACP.

  • 11 people drive Taliban lightly armored trucks

  • Name of the song.

  • great video i like the intro where it says the strong survive

  • sorry. but tacp does get to jump out of planes?

  • @theblakehammock yes. they go to airborne school straight from there tacp training.

  • @theblakehammock yeah dude it all depends if the unit they are assigned to jumps

  • @ronniepage TACP are spec ops operators. They fall under the JSOC just like CCT, PJ, Combat Weather, and SERE. Look it up.

  • @killkamp not all tacp's recieve full blown spec ops training. infact, most do not.

    im a tacp trainee.

  • @ronniepage I've never head a T.A.C.P. candidate call themselves a trainee unless they are still in bmt. Is that new?

  • the donkey should get an award for carrying all the coms equiptment

  • I was told by a group of CCTers that a lot of TACP's are either wash out's from CCT or guys that just don't think they can do the CCT pipeline. That's just what I was told not what I believe. I have mad respect for both! I'm just having a hard time deciding on which one to go into......

  • @UMkris if you want ot be more extreme CCT if you want to still be in the fight but less extreme TACP i guess thats the best way to put it lol and about the comment about TACP's from CCT thats kind of expected from them you know they are one of the best. but TACP much like CCT are sent into the front-lines.

  • @Evilstewie831 cct do usual actual air traffic control though along with setting up landing zones and runways. whereas tacp's are strictly major league bomb droppers.

  • @UMkris my lack of water confidence led me to go with tacp, so i would agree with that assessment.

  • pause @ 2:09...that's a lot of keystone...LOL

  • there are handful of TACPs who are spec ops. a small percentage though...

  • Can u become TACP through Air Force ROTC?

  • @Mike11069 Unfortunately TACP is one of the only enlisted only career fields. There is a similar field for officers called Air Logistics Officer(ALO) that i believe work with TACP but not completely sure what the job discription is(not the same though). They still have Spec ops still for officers, CCT and PJ their called Special Tactics Officer(STO) or Combat Rescue Officer(CRO) for officers.

  • @billieveable darn it, that sucks. well, thx for the information. btw, could I bother u with 1 more question? whats the job closest to TACP that u can get through ROTC?

  • @Mike11069 ALO is your closest bet. LIke i said its not the same, but damn near close to it. My friend just got his ALO slot a week ago. I believe its a rated slot but if you do good at field training youll be fine. Start training now though.cardio cardio cardio. dont worry about weights, trust me the biggest guys are the first to wash out. Your gonna need stamina. Run, swim, pushups, pullups, and situps, throw in some ruck marches too. The insanity program can also help too.get as lean as u can

  • @billieveable i did some reading and it seems like basically ALO is a TACP officer? but it seems like there are way too little positions available for that. also, do u know if u can become CCT or PJ through ROTC? what are other infantry-like jobs in the airforce? thx again for ur time

  • @Mike11069 Yes CCT is called Special Tactics Officer and PJ is Combat Rescue Officer. Unfortunately those slots are just as hard to get as ALO is, not impossible though. Theres very few officers in these fields, there was only two with 32 enlisted at the schoolhouse when i went. These are the only infantry type jobs and most of them are enlisted. If thats your route you should check out army or marines ROTC, youd have a better chance to get high speed job, AF is tech stuff, especially officers

  • Why do people make TACP videos with little to no TACP pics or footage....?

  • DEATH ON CALL!

  • Spec ops or not we get called in before anyone. Best friend is GB and he asked me a fews years ago, so when do yall go in. My responds was before you! We do some crazy shit and get probably the least amount of recognition but it is a hell of a job and I love it!

  • guy at :54 has balls of steel!

  • whats the first song?

  • @Ionsweetness breaking me down by soil

  • @nicoefnsuave thanks a lot that song is pretty kick ass.

  • I am currently on AGR for Security Forces in California. As soon as my AGR contract is up Id like to apply for a reserve tacp unit.Does anyone know where there are TACP reservists.I know of active and air guard units but the AF reserve site doesnt list units that have TACPs.Thanks for the help

  • I just passed the physical test. Next year I'm off to basic then to TACP training, yes!

  • LMAO 1:09. Nice ride!! lol

  • USMCson3

Work hard there's tons of people out there with the same goals

PT is a big thing, Im going for ALO here soon and Ive talked to people , Run, Run and Ruck ruck. Get those cals up and stick out the pain

Good Luck, If you want it you'll work for it

  • also. i can meet all the min req for the past. will this be enough for tech school? i have a few more questions that i had, but cant remember. if anyone that just became tacp, could maybe tell me a little more about the tech school or give some pointers, i would greatly appreciate it.

  • @usmcson3 and from what i can find and from what my recruiter has said, is its 42 push ups in 2 min. 50 sit ups in 2 min. 6 pull ups in 2 min. and 1.5 miles in 11:41. for the push ups do i have to do all at once or can you rest in the up position? i can do 26 at once but have to rest for a few seconds to finish.

  • @usmcson3 First off if you're wondering about the minimum on PT scores I'd just mark RANGER school out... It's 39 push ups in 1 min 45 sit ups in 1 min mile and a half in 11.41 and 2 push ups (no time limit) thaty's to get in and I think it's 6-8 to graduate. You can get Airborne right out of tech school if you impress the instructors... but again if your worried about PT scores mark that off. Always take PT tests like your going to "beast" them... the class portion is easy

  • im taking the test for tacp on the 12th. my recruiter told be that tacp was special forces? but than again she is a recruiter lol. but i do have a question. how soon can you can you go to airborne school? and than to ranger?

  • @ ak122187:

Since when do we get stationed at AF bases? I was under the impression that we went to Army posts...

  • I'm not sure if TACP is part of AFSOC... but I'm leaving for BMT next month and have done quite a bit of research and I'm pretty sure we are badass regardless.

  • gaaah i wanna be a tacp but jumping out of planes....yikes...

  • @Venezu3la99 Airborne is optional so if you don't want to be with an airborne unit then don't go to Airborne school.

I'm the opposite I hope when I become a TACP that I get assigned to an army airborne unit.

  • @Atony94 lets say i wanted to go with the rangers? id need airborne school for that?

  • @Venezu3la99 For Rangers yes, you need to be airborne qualified to be eligible for them.

  • most in this video are combat controllers haha, not tacp....i noticed a few of them

  • @grindblasterds whos your uncle?

  • thank you fupac. TACPS are considered Airforce Special Tactics, but until they go through certain schools are not considered SPecial Forces. However, we are still immense bad asses.

  • @Coolguydane Special Forces is an army-exclusive term. An SF operator is someone who belongs to a SFG.

USAF TACP is under the AFSOC umbrella and by extension SOCOM of which the 'SO' in both the previous acronyms stands for Special Operations. TACPs until they have advanced training cannot be called a JTAC, which is the person who actually clears the fast-movers in 'hot'.

  • @usafwings09 Wrong, they are under the air combat command umbrella.

  • @usafbutters, I believe they follow under AFSOC not ACC...The 2 bases that I have been to that have TACP controllers (ie: Cannon AFB, NM & MacDill AFB, FL) both fall under AFSOC.

@usafwings09, I was implying HUA (Heard-Understand-Acknowledge), which is all we have used the 2 years I have been in. We use this during formation, I was implying that Hoo-yah is a "war cry" or "battle cry." That word should only be used by the people that desrve to say it (ie: people that have been in the shit.)

  • @CitizenBum80 You seriously think SERE is merely camping? So people go camping in a hostile war environment being hunted behind enemy lines? And while evading opposition forces they have to worry about hunting for food in a way not drawing attention to themselves? Oh, and you're telling me they'd know how to get back to a U.S. military base in an undisclosed location just from years of experience from "camping"? Glad there are ignorant people like you to make everyone else look a tad smarter ;)

  • Everytime I see this video it just makes me want to be TACP even more

  • Im an AF recruiter and we consider TACP Spec ops. Anyone who is interested has to do a past test with me and after that they have to go to a monthly specops meeting with a specops recruiter.

  • what was the first song?

  • Quick question about the advance training, is it mandatory to be airborne qualified for this career field?

  • I just went through MEPS yesterday and as of right now the criminal records affect your ability to get in but Air Force;s biggest beef right now is Tattoos. they almost wouldnt let me in just because of a cross tattoo i have on my hand the size of a quarter....yeah its bad.

  • Recon Observe Mark and Destroy..........Gung Ho TACP!!!!!! A1C Gross.....Eagle 83

  • TACP will soon be spec ops. just wait

  • @ACMaystar there listed under afsoc

  • Comment removed

  • I love the start! looks better from the ground, no doubt.

  • This is frickin awesome....GREAT job on the music choices. Godsmack - I Stand Alone and Dope - Falling Away are some of my favorite songs. Great job on the video.

  • I'm going to basic in June, and then I am going strait to TACP training. I truly can't wait. People have told me how hard it is, and I have a confession to make. I hope it is even harder than they say. Fuck easy. I could have done something easy, but I was like "Fuck easy, I want to be a ROMAD and eventually a JTAC (and maybe an ALO some day). "

  • Whats the name of the first song on here?

  • Comment removed

  • Im enlisted and about to try for a SERE spot. If i don't get that then Im going to go for TACP. If i do get the SERE spot then Im going to crosstrain as a TACP if that's possible at all. Both jobs sound badass. and as a TACP you can go to additional schools like HALO (military freefall) or Sniper schools. we'll see how it goes once i get through SERE.

  • I'm enlisting in about a month and a half when they start accepting again.. Gunna be attempting to get the SERE Specialist AFSC as well. Cyah there =P

  • i am putting in to cross train into TACP. I cant wait!

  • im going tacp in febuary

  • lucky! i've got to wait until april

  • @mumfy89 hey i leave april 30...hbu??

  • HOP you said you were or are a ranger. Did you like it? what sort of things did you do. I am interested in becoming a ranger so any info would help.

  • @TheJosephB123 If you want to go ranger, do cardio. Run and ruck and run some more. If you go infantry, they're going to nitpick you because ranger batt always has plenty of infantry. You'll do basic, ait (osut for infantry), jump school, then RIP. If you make rip you'll get your tan beret and you'll goto one of the batts, they give you a dream sheet for ranking the one you want in order but it doesn't always work out.

You won't regret it once you're done.

  • CCT and TACP are not the same. The job of a CCT is basically to sneak behind enemy lines and setup remote airfields and do ATC, since they are certified ATC. TACP is not ATC certified (usually) and is usually assigned to an army unit to help call in airstrikes. That's just what I've learned from months of researching and talking with recruiters. But if anyone is a TACP, CCT or SOWT message me because I'm planning on enlisting for one of those three fields.

  • Oh the SERE thing... SERE is just a school, it's only a few weeks, and once you're done you're done. They don't have a SERE MOS or anything. You just go to the school, have a large man smack you, have a puerto rican girl ridicule the size of your junk, and then you graduate. That's it, it's over after that. You can come back later as an instructor but that's all. They don't have an MOS that they send in to get captured and tortured for a week, it's just a school to teach a skill.

  • Also, if the only purpose of TACP is CAS, and CCT does CAS and Airfields why would they want TACP on an ODA? The SF commo sergeants go to JTAC and do that too so why would they have an attachment for something they're already capable of?

  • First, ever hear an echo control or army sotac for that matter. You cant just shit out an jtac and expect him to be fluent on the mic. Theres more to controlling like airspace, etc. Im capable of clearing a house, been to mid south a couple times, would Zulu let me lead stack, think not, same goes for being a JTAC, cant get a quick class and expect to do it at night, with nogs and no help with littel to no experience. When was the last time you heard of an airfield being seized?

  • KAF was seized. They stacked the bodies in the hanger to the left of the tower as you face the mountains where the helipads and landing strip are now.

    I'm just asking questions man.

In my 5 years in the army, I heard alot of people saying they were just like Rangers except without the money, or just like infantry except they could build things too... so when I hear a group that gets a 73 day course saying they're identical to one that gets 730 days, I want to know why you'd bother with cct

  • 8 years is a long time what im trying to get at. CCT is no way 730 days or 2 years. There CCS is 15 or so weeks, TACP is similiar. They have to go thru ATC school which is 3-4 months. When you count in AST which is not pipeline (they have thier bertes already) and is a year long, the gap isnt that wide. CCT does get better training from AST than a normal TACP does. AST is where they sit and wait for openings for halo, scuba, do pre dive, rappeling etc. Tacp can get this, but not formally.

  • Gotcha,

    What about mission opportunities?

Does CCT get more SOF stuff than TACP because they're SOCOM?

I'm trying to figure out if re-entering the service as a CCT is worth it... I'm hung up between CCT and going back into the Army to goto selection. I'm not interested in TACP as a career path, so if CCT doesn't get the mission opportunities I thought they did then the Army is the way to go for what I'm looking for.

  • its right around 2 yrs by the time all training is complete for real..

  • Are these all TACP?

Looks like alot of Army SF and CCT's.

    Is TACP SOCOM or JSOC?

What's the difference in their training pipeline from CCT?

  • @Hop6236

Just becasue a guy has a beard and nice kit doesn't mean hes SF or CCT. Did they have any identifier on them like group crests or cct flash, if not theres no way to tell unless you know them.

  • Do TACP ride ATV's around the desert?

I mean, if TACP are HALOing out of planes, calling for fire for ODA's and walking around with beards and ball caps in the desert, then what's the difference between them and CCT? What's their training pipeline like? Do they just goto JTAC.

  • @Hop6236

Yes we do if your attached to a group, sts, or augment. The difference is cct can swim, primarily are air traffic controllers but can call in cas and are spec ops when they get thier beret. TACP primary job is cas and have to wait a couple years to go SOF. No difference when we are on a team, were both JTACS and thats all that matters to the army.

  • So what's the point in going CCT if the only difference is dive school? Why wouldn't they just make TACP the USAF contribution to SOCOM instead of making TACP and CCT?

I'm asking because I'm looking at CCT pretty hard but can't understand the difference between TACP and CCT. TACP guys say there is no difference and CCT guys say there's a huge difference.

  • @Hop6236- All of CCT is SOCOM, so that means more money and more requirements. Im actually going STO (cct officer) myself, but there is nothing wrong with SOF TACP at all. The biggest difference is ego's,

  • So:

TACP's goto a 73 technical training class in Hurlburt. They MIGHT get jump school (which is a joke anyway) and later on down the road can get JTAC and be assigned to a SOCOM unit

CCT goes through a 2 year pipeline to get a few extra schools (JTAC, HALO, and the dive schools) to do the EXACT same job...

Can you see why I'm confused why anyone would bother going through CCT if TACP does the same thing?

MP's say they're infantry, but they aren't. So I feel like this may be a similar case.

  • CCT, PJ and seals are some of the only operators to get halo and dive. Out of 18 teams in a BN only 3 are halo and 3 are dive. Some SF operators are not even airborne. Point is, schools dont make an operator, the mindset does.

  • Yeah, I'm not worried about the schools so much as the mission opportunities. If I'm going to be dinking around garrison or sitting around KAF or BIAP as a CCT then I'll just go back into the army.

Is a CCT basically a TACP guy with air traffic control school and an automatic slot for SOCOM?

Kindof like ranger battlion in the Army is a straight shot into SOCOM?

Also, SOCOM guys do alot of stuff with indig guys in hot areas like columbia and SE asia, TACP get those same opportunities?

  • @Hop6236 -Basically you need to do alot of research and get hard facts. I havent been in training for some time now and alot of things have changed. If you can swim and have a year round pool to do so, go cct. Cant swim go tacp, simple.

  • @Hop6236 cct's are spec ops

  • that pilot in that A-10 is f***ing crazy...

  • You guys don"t know what the fuck you talking about. TACP are not Special ops. they can work together with PJ's or CCT's.

I am one of them so stop making up shit.

    USAF all day. HOO-YA

  • Just so the air is clear!!!1c4's right out of tech training also known as ROMADS are NOT Special Operations. Once you have put your time in you can put your package in to go support RANGER or SOF forces. TACP JTACS are now part of STS;s. FUPAC if you were a controller you would know this. So please stop running your mouth and putting out bad info,,,,,

  • @Madbored80

Actually Madbored, you're wrong, fupac is correct

  • PS FUCKPAC2003 its HUAH retard...and you are obviously a dumbass if you think TACP is not special tactics...A dumbass or a poser either way your GAY

  • @ak122187 Actually it's Hooyah. Hooah is what soldiers say.

  • @ak122187 congrats on making yourself look the retard/dumbass/poser... have a nice day.

  • @Madbored80 TACC are not STS...we work with AFSOC and other spec units

  • @Madbored80 You don't have to be a JTAC to go to a STS. You can go to an STS as a ROMAD. and LOL @ fupac

  • @fupac2003 actually im in TACP also and it is considered spec ops,

  • @fupac2003 I'll call your bluff. TACPs don't say HOO-YAH. Having been one for 13 years now i'll gladly call you out on it. Also, some TACPs are Special Ops. A majority aren't though.

USAF all day? That's something else we wouldn't say because want to disassociate ourselves with the regular Air Force that didn't step up and volunteer for the challenge.

  • @ANGRYTACP- TACPs for 3 years now not including training, and i couldnt have said it any better. We might not be majority spec ops but we have plenty, and we DONT say HOO-YAA

  • @fupac2003 Im from Finland and even i know that TACP or anyone in USAF dont say HOO-YAA, its a Navy SEAL thing you know.

  • @fupac2003 To be special tactics (in the air force) you have to be a tenant of the SOG (special operations group). TACP squadrons are not EVER placed under any USAF SOG's. How do I know? Because i'm a USAF member. TACP are just liasons between the army and the airforce to put bombs on a target. That's all. And fupac, STFU with the hoo-ya shit. That is for tech schoolers or fags in the army. Thanks.

  • @fupac2003 did u have to have all the requirements that the special ops has as far as phycsical training.. my flaw would be anything with swiming... i better jump on that..

  • whats the difference between pjs and tacp?

  • PJs are medical extraction and not just in combat zones. Some PJs work with NASA and some also fulfill a coast guard type role outside of the coast area.

anyone correct me if i'm wrong

  • ok thanks!

im thinking of doing that but for some reason i want to work in the combat zone.

    now what does TACP do?

  • TACP airmen work closely with the army to call in air strikes and stuff.

  • PJ's work in combat zones as well they do the none combat type work when we are in a peace time. PJ's and TACP in action just as much as the other their jobs are just diffrent. PJ's save lives TACP and CCT help to take lives. but if you want to shoot and call in airstrikes(Blow up shit) best bet for airforce Special Tactics is TACP or CCT

  • thanks a lot

  • nasa yes CG NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO lol the CG has their own "rescue swimmers" which are still pretty hardcore but not PJs

  • do all tacp's go to school for jumping out of planes?

  • no, tacp is actually not even spec ops. they do have a SOF branch, but you need to apply for it once youre in and experienced.

  • whats the third song? cheers

  • NICE VID.

  • will u see a lot of front line combat in TACP? or is it more just sitting back and calling shit in ?

  • TACP is a frontline job. so.. you see a lot of combat.

  • lol, I bet those guys crapped their pants when the A-10 was comin....that was ridiculously low haha

  • I don't believe the BS between CCT, Pararescue and Romad still exsist. Serve your country the best you can. If you pick TACP you can go as far as you want , Airborne, Air assult, ranger. Romad from EAGLE 7

  • Tactical Air Control Party

  • This is what my brother did...This is what i would do if i was in the AF but i went Marine Corp instead...it is what it is...i got nothing against anybody who serves our country...Oorah

  • Going to Meps on sunday for the airforce to go tacp. cant fuckin wait. Death on call

  • dont get injured man its a long course and sfs get a lot of reclasses out cct tacp and pj bro

good luck and hua to live and fight for a nother day bro

  • Gung-Ho!!!.....Dropp'n bombs & Bang'n moms

  • hah love that droppn bombs and bangn moms almost makes me want airforce hah

  • I hear the Kansas Air National Guard is hiring TACPs for their new ASOS

  • The officer slots are usually called ALO, Air Liaison Officer, but it is not unheard of for the ALO at a FOB (Forward Operating Base) to be on the ground with his guys.

  • this vid is nearly all SOF TACP or strait up CCT. id like to see some more shit with conventional ROMADs and JTACs

  • Is TACP considered special forces?

  • yep

  • no. They're under Air Combat Command, but some select few JTACs can be assigned with Rangers or Special Forces.

  • cool. I was just curious because on the Air Force website it says they are special forces and require the same physical standards as cct and pj's. But I know they get assigned with conventional army platoons.

  • just passed my PAST test for tacp this morning! but leave in october now. :P

  • congrats man

  • yeah according to my recruiter and everyone at the meps your record is a little extra important in the air force..but anyway i leave for boot camp soon and i dunno if i wanna do TACP or not..they want me to but still trying to decide :/

  • The Air Force less strict about criminal backgrounds? That's a new one. But if you can get in the air force, I highly recommend it.

  • I'm not sure who said that, but its wrong... If you even have a single misdemeanor on ur record you need a 67 on the ASVAB to be able to even be considered for enlistment.. Idk who said that, but its not true.

  • @scavmanch no you need a 37.

i got a 50 and im going in. i was offered alot of jobs to for such a low score, but im doing tacp!

  • Thats not true. It depends on the charge and if you score a 50.

  • Huh... Odd, the recruiter i first talked to said with a misdemeanor + less than a 67 means you won't likely get in. And i know people who scored a 17 with crim record and gotten into the Army. Oh well, i got a 90 and am getting in around April 1st. AF all the way, every day.

  • i leave in september for this. im stoked!

  • hey I heard they might make this available for officers. Any news on that?

  • I would like to know this as well. This would be my dream job (assuming a TACP officer would be performing similar duties in the field, which I doubt considering almost all officers perform strategy and supervision rather than fight).

  • Re-enlisting for TACP myself, was a former 11b with 3rd inf and had the privilege of working with some of these guys in the past. Mos change would be near impossible within the Army (was on the verge of losing my sanity...), and I hear tacp is the best "field" job in the air force. If all goes well, oughta be a good finish for career.

  • Ok that is what i just told my SSGT that i wanted to do. so i am DEPing in in may and then leaving in Novemeber if i can get a slot

  • trust me brother, you wanna go TACP

  • I dont know i have wanted to go Army all my life and i can with TACP and not Security Forces. I just cant get into the army with my record but the airforce i can. plus i want to see combat.

  • Im enlisting into the Airfoce and deciding between Security forces and TACP. if i go TACP i have to wait to ship out but Security Forces only 3 months

  • i just joined the air force and i passed my tacp test im stoked about it its going to be so kickass

  • Don't go sf bro im going on four years sf in may. Bottom line this job sucks with no satisfaction. Prepare while you can and go TACP. Make sure you have the mindset to finish it out and make it. Don't be a cop.

  • i just got sworn in to usaf and im thinking about being SF. can you tell me what you do all day?

  • i just went SF with ANG and have been in for only 4 months but really regret it. im transferring to Ellington Field JRB to do tacp and luckily they just used my PAST test scores from when i was going active cct but cancelled.

  • I want to go into TACP.

  • my mother said i should go in the air force after high school it sounds good but i mite want to go to college and do rotc but then my family dont have that much money for college i dont know what to do if someone give me some advice that would help alot

  • what do you want to do? what do you like or think you like?

  • i wanted to do some tacp or sf then later go to college and try become a officer

i want to do tacp because i like to challege my self and work as a team to do something or sf because my mom and dad was in it and they both say it was fun but i dont know i want to be a cop but most of all i want a job that is outside

  • when i said sf i mean security forces not special forces my bad:/

  • SF's are special ops washouts. Oretty much a disaster of a job. Go TACP all the way, or CCT. I'd go either way.

If you really want to get the best out of the USAF, go PJ. I'm going Aerial Gunner so I can work with PJ's, still, all of the jobs are better than SF, no doubt.

  • This coming from someone who is "going Aerial Gunner" so I would assume you're not in yet. Before you belittle an AFSC, try doing the job. Security Forces is in no way an appreciated field however, it is one of the most versatile in the Air Force. It's not all guarding gates and nukes.

  • You bring up a good point. Yeah, I guess i can see that though.
