Don't worry if you can't do the crossover right away. It took allen Iverson 5 years to get it just right. Keep working at it you'll get it. try to use it in games just don't do it often

the most important factor to a crossover is having a quick first step...that is why players with quick fist steps use it the best cause it sets up the crossover for future moves...ur defender has to respect ur first step cuz he doesnt wanna just get beat off the dribble with no moves whatsoever...that's when u utilize the crossover...make him think ur gonna use that quick first step, and he's all urs...trust me

If u want to learn AI's XO watch this video and the one where he crosses Terrell Brandon. Both videos show his footwork in slow motion. Watch how every time he does his crossover he starts with a hop off his RIGHT foot then plants his LEFT foot and crosses from left to right. The footwork is key, the crossover is the result! Practice the footwork first and then add the dribble. Watch AI's feet closely. It's like 123 he's by you. If you look at any AI crossover, the footwork is ALWAYS the same!

This is a great video to watch if you want to learn AI's cross. They slow it down so you can see his footwork. AI crosses from the left hand to the right--always. You won't find a video on Utube where he crosses from right to left. Anyway, he always sets the defender up by dribbling with the ball in his left until he's ready to cross, then he lets the ball go a little higher or wider, while he starts with hops off his right foot--almost like a skip--then he plants the left and crosses back.
