The Naked Prey is one of the greatest movies of all time. Indiana Jones, Pitfall-Harry swingin' douche LeBouf, and those queer aliens got nothin' on this.
oh my god i feel sick! that is too disturbing, just the way he's rotating like an inanimate object! can you hear the poor bastard screaming or moaning or what?
very good movie with the thrill that brings the danger to travel with the power of being of the first world country or so,very good movie i wish they made that movie in actual 2008.esonoman
Racist and exploitive? Portraying africans as they are is racist? Explain exploitive to me also? The savages in the film were probably given a substantial amount of grain for their fine acting.
unsightly: Yes, what you say is clearly pointed out in the movie, but the terrible, savage torture of these arrogant, stupid men was not warranted. The most disturbing aspect of this scene is the absolute joy of the men, women, and children when inflicting pain and death upon the hunters.
Small wonder that the understanding, "good" character played by Cornel Wilde jumps up and down and laughs in the forest burning scene, and shouts, "Cook, you bastards!! Hahaha!!Burn, you devils!! Hahahaha!!"
How else are the "savages" supposed to enforce their rule over their land? They permit foreigners to travel freely there as long as they pay the toll. It is the grotesque arrogance of the white imperialists who provoke the events in this movie.
If you look at 3:07 you can see where the paint has come off the plaster cast of the person exposing the white plaster.

Notice at 0:27 how the guy with the pot looks at the director for his cue to dump the mud on the other guy?

This movie, Trader Horn, and many others I say will never be on DVD not with the political climate as it is today.

A great movie. Realistic too. I don't know if it could be made today - would be too "politically incorrect".

You are right. This movie shows how savage and racist some Africans are and how they exploit whites. Notice I said "some".

Disturbing is right. The guy covered in clay and roasted on the spit. That's an image that stays with you for a while.
