In NC we got MR (Medical Responder), EMT-B, EMT-I, and EMT-P.

that actually depends on the state. some states do not recognize some of those. i'm an EMT in fl and here there is only First Responder, EMT, PMD (Paramedic).

@agent4477 Restrictions on that vary from agency to agency. Some don't care, some are particular. Rule of thumb is tattoos should be in an area that can be covered on duty and cannot be offensive. You have to remember that you are not always dealing with members of your own cohort in EMS. In other words, EMS personnel deal a lot with the elderly, of whom come from a different time with different social standards, and, at times, children who may become frightened by an overabundance of body art.

hey just to let everyone know i dont know if this is everywhere or just NYS, but we have critical care..which to b e honest is stupid because its like two differeneces from being a medic....but thats New York for you, causing problems and loving it...lol...but great video, and great choice of song by the way...o and ive been an EMT since April of......2008..lol..i'm an 18 year old emt who loves every second of it, thanks again for the great video..
