  • Stick to normal b-doubles

  • muito bom....

  • Pretty slick set up.

  • every country should interduce what you have in Australia it would free up trucks and money. great show

  • Are you friggin' kidding me??!! Did that monster train just do a U trun inside of a building? THAT IS INSANE!!!

  • Skill's!@!!!

  • ESPECTACULAR!!! AWESOME!!!! NICE!!!!

  • It's called a Trackaxle

  • apparently it does have a hydraulic steering component but its not used in normal operation only for backing into docks

  • i did read something a few years back the LIN FOX was trialling one of these set ups never heard anything more

  • before watching this video

    wtf

    after watchin

    whaaaat thhhe fuuuuuuuuuuuckkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • I'd love to drive that.

  • Dang, this guy is good, he needs to run for president, he'll get the imposible work done ; ))

  • how is it possible. I tried that with just one flatbed the trailer tires went all over place they wouldn't turn to the same direction as the trailer.

  • @Sims3fan2000 computers and hydraulic

  • how it possible the rear axles r turning, plus the middle

  • hydraulics at a guess.

  • @massa101257 magic :)

  • Can this technology be used to haul two standard 48' or 53' trailers?

  • I can't see why not

  • @024reredrum About the only way you could get such a long combination round a corner

  • its like drivin the train out of rails :)

  • whoevers driving got the skills to pay the bills

  • Dont like the unit. :)

  • its a yard shunter, not a highway rig,

  • I was joking

  • @Xantec We call them spotting horses here.

  • having taken a total load of 42 meters long down around Footscray this morning l find this trailer and steering system absolutly amazing

  • Comment removed

  • wish i had it that easy.

  • it's not normal speed. it's a bit fastforward.

  • nope its normal speed, i work for trackaxle i was a part of the docklands demo, this video is running in realtime mate

  • it's a bit fastforward. look at the people walking around. their moving a bit too fast. at 0:13 there's a guy at top right which lifts his legs left right. look how fast he is. lol. so this thing is actually incredibly slow. using a fort lift is faster and easyer to position. a 1.5 tonn fork lift can easely handle a 20 to ntrailer, to back it up even on a slight slope. done that with 20 ton of carrots at unloading bay. so a bigger forklift truck could handle 2 X20 ton way way faster than this.

  • watch people walking

  • That'd be interesting to drive, but I wonder if it would last as long as GMs 4 wheel steer they HAD on the Silverados.. what six months. I could see this being a benefit tho

  • lol i remember htat 4 wheel steer lmao. what a tank job that was.

  • There are benefits on Trackaxle trailers - like less rubber going down onto the road, less power required to get the truck through turns and therefore less emissions, tyre scrub is negligible....

  • some1 help my pussy is wet ;]

  • will do :D

  • yeah but why not just do it the ond fashion way??

  • because the trackaxle is alot easier to use and can be steered into almost any situation, money is also a factor, it cuts down on fuel costs tyre wear is very minimal and road damage from rear tyre scrubbing is eliminated

  • to make the longer super-b meet meet swept path limits. standard axle = no permission to run in some cases.

  • its like a fucking slinkie lol

  • ok to clear up your that comment, im an employee at trackaxle transport tech and i will say, it steers nothin like a low loader, it is sensor driven no hydraulics except a limiter system which has minimal impact unless in the wet, i wire up the electrical computer systems myself but we are moving on to more advanced programmable logic control, makes my job easier and more reliable again

  • It'll probably steer the same way as a low loader. No sensors, no computers, just simple hydaulics

  • yea until a sensor blows or computer for the back boggies then its good bye trailer and cars...stick to what works!!

  • its a failsafe system, computer systems do not operate in forward travel anyway, in foward motion the system only activates when the prime mover moves through 4 degrees and the steer system unlocks from the body, if anything in the system is not the way it should be it simply wont operate and will act simply like a normal trailer

  • Excellent sure would make finger docks a pisser

  • very impressive.I hope we'll see them on the road soon.Good video.

  • This is not new stuff. We have been using the same thing for more than 15 years hauling oversized loads of 300 feet in length on US hwys. They have simply put it under a container

  • haha exactly.. same thing in australia

  • this technology is new actually, its fully automatic in foward steer with highway locking mechanisms and will only steer when the trailer steers away 4 degrees from the prime mover, it is a new patented design and has minimal moving parts not needed to be piloted by any person, although it has wireless remote contolled reverse steer which generally is better to have a second person to control in a 40 40 combination, this patent is cheaper to build than any other design on the market today

  • looks like a lot of technical... and a lot of technical means a lot of parts that can get damage in the normal workin days.. idea is great, but wouldnt trust yet...

  • And thought backing an ordinary b-train was daunting enough!!!

  • man good skills

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!

  • damn, thats pretty impressive!

  • AWESOME!!! More info please. Great model idea. SWEET!!!

  • You could find some more info. on our trackaxle website

  • thats sum mint driving

  • xjonnb-- the driver doesnt need to be incredibly good, average will do, the trailer takes out most the difficulty
