The question always is whether there is a net surplus of jobs which strengthens the economy as a whole and allows Canada to compete in the global market place. Don't forget that the same thing happened with the Canada/USA Free Trade agreement. Canada did lose jobs and that was to be expected, however there was a net surplus. Canada also placed first TEN times in the highest standard of living in the world category, the most of any country ever since Free Trade with USA!

By the way...when you get your New and Improved I.D. card, I beleive all you have to do to destroy the inner tracking device inside (the RFID chip), all you need to do is toss your I.D. card into the microwave oven for about 30 seconds. The freedom of movement of large international cargoes, without borders will allow further destruction of your countries ability to retain autonomy. Manufacturing will be shifted to parts of the world with cheaper human resources whilst the removal of mineral and natural resources will accelerate. The federal gov. is helping to fund these corridors. Harper was in Chuchill MB announcing the funding for NASCO as well as in B.C. for the Asia Pacific Gateway. If you go on the Transport Canada website they mention all of these initiatives with links. These were added before the Montebello Summit.
