I want to print on satin fabric, if I use the bubble jet set can i iron it dry instead of letting it air dry?? The reason I ask is because satin is hard to iron smooth if not done when it is wet. The wrinkles are hard to smooth out.
This is such a great video. My grandmother recently passes away, now I can put her picture on some of my craft ideas. Thank you for the easy to understand instructions.
Thank you for this great video!!! I also found a very reasonably priced company online that prints any digital photo or file, for that matter, on materials as diverse as polyester, satin, flannel or organic cotton. Fabric On Demand dot com
Linen products are easy to store, they can withstand temperature differentials and the toughest washings, which make them even softer, whiter, and more clinging to the body. You can find best linen fabric store on my profile.
All over the world people want to use only natural and environmentally friendly materials like linen and cotton!
Well isn't that just the neatest thing since sliced bread!! Thanks so much for making such an easy to understand video. I actually feel like I could do this.
I just watched a video elsewhere which employs the use of iroing on freezer paper (place shiny side down and iron on) so that you can run fabric thru the printer.
Why does everyone have to be such a smart ass? I mention this to suggest that there's alternative methods for printing on fabric, if anyone is looking for ways to accomplish doing this.
Maybe. I know it's difficult to know one's intent, especially with the 'net since we can't see faces or hear inflection in voices...but when I see someone post "good for you" it's usually a jab and that's how I took it. If I am being overly sensative, my humble apologies to the OP.
This is really neat, I did some searching around because I like this idea but was shocked at the prices for the special 'printing fabric'... a bottle of Bubble Jet Set goes a lot lot farther. I'm going to pick some up and make some coinpurses or something :)
This is fabulous, thank you. You even have the same printer I do, which gives me (as a non-crafty soul) courage! Kinko's used to do this and now does not have the service in their stores, so I will go in search of bubble -whatever later today.
yes. I use my hp Officejet All in One. It slides right through. Be sure to tape the top and sides of the fabric (just a little down the side). On my printer, without the tape, the fabric tends to slide around and the picture will be distorted.
It dries fairly quickly - maybe an hour or two. Some quilters leave it for a day or two before they sew it into a block. They say it makes the colors stay better. I haven't tried it, so I don't know.
Would the fabric be safe to use for a baby quilt after printing?

does the fabric with the chemials on it have to be dry before u print it
thanks x
eatingoreos1 3 months ago
@eatingoreos1 - yes, it does. It doesn't take very long to dry, and you don't need to rinse after you print.
