This ad should be released as a counter-measure to the movie "The Grey", which depicts wolves in a horrible light. This video shows what is more likely to happen. Beautiful ad!
What a piece of wimpsy advertisment. I question the Shangrila marketing guy's ability to define his campaign marketing objectives. Poor media purchases,. the concept does not translate well in print. Too much creative licence given. I reckon the director and agency did well to showcase their creative side at the expense of their client's commercial interests.
I remember the first time I saw this commercial with my hubby. I was screaming when I saw the wolves come near to the man. And suddenly, I realized that they were trying to give him warmth. That just really touched my heart!

Congratulations to the team - and the client - for this spot. AT LAST a hotel group who have the courage to communicate brand values without showing a smiling chamber maid or a bouncy bed. I've no doubt that this took many months of research, passionate persuasion and dedicated crafting. This is the kind of ad that makes me proud to be in the industry. @shangrilaintl Good Ad. However bearing purely on human emotion. My first question would have been what the hell was he doing in such a hostile environment so ill-equipped? Looks like a back-packer who took a wrong turn! I would have positioned the ad with a local or inuit who had exhaused all natural survival skill options before succumbing to hypothermia. More poignant. After which, i'd get rid of the shangri-la tag! :)
