@KushaDwipa I agree with you, if you go to Saudi Arabia for example, you will see that Arabs are quite diverse in terms of skin colour. The majority are either tan (bronze as you said) or white. There are also black people, but then these are not true arabs because they draw their descent back to actual Africans, many of which came from Ethiopia. If you read Arabic poetry then you would be familiar with a famous poet called 'Antara bnu Shadad' (عنترة بن شداد) whose mother was Ethiopian.

The actual word used in Arabic was السُّمْرَةُ which means tan and not necessarily to the degree of an African. In Arabian genealogy, Hatheyl or Hudhail bin Mudrika were brethren of Khuzayma bin Mudrika from which sprang the Quraysh in case you were unaware. No - what is preposterous is the West's lack of knowledge of who the people that were called "Arabs" were for centuries before it became a nationality. The name had always refered to African related people living on both sides of the Red Sea. The silliness of these arguments is that at the time of the Zanj revolt most of the Arabs were in fact either Negroes themselves or hamitic people. If you want to speak of Iraqis and Syrians as Arabs that's a different story but at that time most southern Iraqis with fair skin had little Arab blood. The Bahilah and other true Arab people of the black Azd fought with the Zanj against the fair-skinned Iraqis, Syrians and Iranians who were in reality non- Arab Middle Easterns in that time.

@KushaDwipa I agree with you, if you go to Saudi Arabia for example, you will see that Arabs are quite diverse in terms of skin colour. The majority are either tan (bronze as you said) or white. There are also black people, but then these are not true arabs because they draw their descent back to actual Africans, many of which came from Ethiopia. If you read Arabic poetry then you would be familiar with a famous poet called 'Antara bnu Shadad' (عنترة بن شداد) whose mother was Ethiopian.

The website owner quotes a man by the name of Daremi: '"I am Miskeen, for those who know me. My color is dark, the color of the Arabs." The actual word used in Arabic was السُّمْرَةُ which means tan and not necessarily to the degree of an African. @GGLebo23 - Lebo did you know that ur so called history books never talk about what the word white meant in Arabic among the Arabs in its proper sense. That Ibn Mandhur and other people said Arabs NEVER used the word white for a fair skinned man but that it refered to a black man with clear tone of skin Don't tell me about the history books LEBO! Most authors of history books in the West didn't even bother to learn Arabic let alone Arab history.

Arabs themselves used to consider Mulattos, Chinese, Indian, Mongolians, and Malays and also and some semitic Ethiopians as white (not all). In Turkey the word for a black man is Arab. In India we call black people Hafsi (From Habash) and in Arabic they them Zunji (from Kenia/Tanzania/Mozambique coastal area).Only the Zunj where conidered inferior. The other Africans where called by the names of their nations and many had powerfull Kingdoms & gold, ivory, famous artists & artisans, scholars..etc

There is not a barrier but in fact many people have come into the peninsula from slavery and concubinnage including the Ebna or Iranians, Turks and the "white Syrians". Arabs used to call these "the red people" and said having a fair skin was a sign of descendency from slaves. Of course these early Arabs have since mixed with people of Syria and Iraq and are no longer African in appearance.

Why don't you take a trip to the Middle East and see those pictures that date back THOUSANDS of years and see if they looked black or tanned. Arabs aren't black... I have Qahtanite Arab relatives from Yemen and they look nothing like people in Somalia, they have very fair skin but slightly hooked noses
