I can't find PSARDUMPER anymore and I think this tutorial is for older PSP firmware versions.

I can't find PSARDUMPER on Dark-Alex's site. I already have the latest pronto codes, I tried just installing the discrete ones and tonight I tried it out. It worked on my home TVs, but none of them worked when I went out and tried them in public, even when I made my own codes using the remote controls for the TVs.

Will using this method make it work better? Do I need use the other codes that come in ProntoCodes? Because the names of those are really confusing.

Do you know why the PSP 1000 has an IR por or why the PSP 2000 doesn't? I can't think of anything it does, unless Sony was planning something in a firmware update they never got around to.

I guess Sony thought it could come in handy, but thought that it was obsolete by the time they decided to just make a new PSP model. Thankfully homebrew apps made use of it, and really well too.

Well its turns out they did use it to make some software/hardware like an IR keyboard, but I don't if Sony actually made that or if it was like datel (the AR one, not the pandora battery one) or pelican.

that one is difficult to find.... read the irshell manual, that comes with the irshell zip file and make your psp learn the code from your tv. give it a try

alright this is pissing me off now.i have 3.80 m33-5 and when i put the remote folder in the root of my psp and the other two folders in the game folder and disconnect the usb and try it, it says game could not be started (80020148) can anyone help me with this if so just send me a mail.

first of all, get sure your irshell installation is fine, run it a few times and launch some games, aldo check that in your psp recovey menu the kernell is set to 3.xx. Try that, and folloq the instructions on the video, hundreds of people had been able to do this, will u be one of them? never give up

time machine is an application that in combination with a pandora battery allows you to load cfw directly from the ms, the problem here is that in the slim there is no ir port, so there is no possible way of sending that ir codes out of your psp.

I founded that cfw 3.71 and after it, have problems with infrared signal cuz sony removes the driver that make it work, a lot of psp's have the same problem like mine, not all, but i would like that someone can repair this problem or help us someway but i think the only thing we can do now its wait, or like me, ask a friend for some help hoping he can do something.

Are you not watching the video? The hole process is explained in this video, incluiding the .prx for infrared signal. If you watch the video and follow the instructions you will make it work in a few minutes. remember this only works with fat psp.
