I love The Corrs and Andrea, but this is like karaoke compared to Abba and Agnetha. I´m glad they did make this their own version not even trying to compete. If someone disagrees then just listen to Agnethas sound. If you still disagree then get a hearing aid. I mean Andrea is a good singer, but Agnetha is one of the best female voices ever.
This was from ABBAmania. The Corrs presence was Andrea's lead vocal which is actually quite good. At times, she was definitely channelling her inner Agnetha Falkstog. Less said about the production. Had this been like the Fleetwood Mac concept album where the Corrs were allowed to go & away & "do their thing" with tracks, we may have been presented with something absolutely gorgeous vocally (lead & harmonies) & instrumentally. What a waste !
I'm a fan of the Corrs but, if I had to pick my least favorite Corrs track, then this one would be it. They had a good track record with their covers, but this one didn't succeed. I find the production "muddy" and Andrea's vocals not at their best. To be fair, I wonder whether this can truly be called a Corrs tune, since I'm not certain how much creative control they had in making this recording. Having said that, it's certainly not "thumb down-able" by any means.
@PopHorizonScanner Fair comment, and to be honest its nowhere near my favorite Corrs track. But to be fair it was done as part of a tribute album and is a Pete Waterman production job, so its quite likely the Corrs appear in voice only ( if indeed they are all on it ). However i uploaded it purely as a rare track that may have passed a lot of fans by.
@SR031989No, it was never a single, It was covered for a Pete Waterman produced Abba tribute album sometime in the 90's, where you will also find Westlifes version of I have a dream.
Andrea's voice comes through nicely in this tribute to Abba. I do not embrace the message of the song for I wish happiness and peace to all the Corrs and their loved ones. Thank you for the Music

Why didn't they cover a Karen Carpenter song I'm pretty sure that would also be great.
