First - the war wasn't religiously motivated. The Barbary states had used privateering as a means of income for a few hundred years and while America was still part of the British Empire the treaties of that country protected the colonies' ships. Once that relationship was no more that left American ships vulnerable to the pirates. America sought protection from the French and eventually debated on the issue of paying tribute. Even the British paid tribute and used the pirates against the US

It is a good thing people do not do that with some of the passages in the Old Testament because they could be used to make the Jewish people sound just as evil as you want folks to think ALL Muslims are. There is no propaganda, everything that "dude" says actually happened and can be verified! This commentary is from 1984, I personally remember the news events from that era but you can simply google "1979 libya" or "Terrorists attacks on America 1979-1988". In the late Seventies and early Eighties LIBYIANS were hijacking and bombing planes every other week!

It's unbelievable that PBS stumbles across so much evidence about Islam that it buries.

I find records for so many video productions that are nowhere to be found to view or purchase. They buried "America at a Crossroads" and many other documentaries on anti-Semitism, when Islam is inplicated, they bury it, having no problem focusing entirely on the evils of Christianity, ignoring the pagan connection to Islam and pre-printing press Catholicism.

I'm surprised you only have a few views and no comments. Many people do not know about this. I didn't know about this until a few months ago when one of my teachers at school gave a lecture on Radical Islamic Terrorists and Sharia Law. Its scary how long this "War on Terror" really has been going on. WAY before 9/11.
