and we heared also na there is an NGO there na requesting funds from the WORLD BANK to rehabilitate daw the open mine, collecting 60M daw and what they do? they replant trees and useless kasi namamatay karamihan kasi masyadong acidic pa ang area.,meaning waste of time and money., they also use pa the bishop of the archdiocese there and use students to make rallies to stop mining. the reason daw is killing fishes on the taft river.
in my own opinion lng ha if correct or not... mining is not bad, it even gives livelihood income on the people living that place, no hard to get money,. and can feel even a little luxurious kind of life... if stop the mining meaning stop din possible income nila.. and this is not a threat to the mother nature we need it actually, where do u think the keyboard ur typing in came from?, the chips inside the computer came from,. the car that ur riding on came from? the tv that u enjoy came from?
most of the people dont really understand what mining is..it is very important., we uses it everyday what is being mined. try to think also,., when does mining business started? lets say lng ha 1000 years ago. we started using resources like gas,coal, gold etc... and when does nature start making the raw minerals that was being mined from 1000yrs ago? lets say its million yrs ago pa. do u think that we can saturate it? mauubos ba natin un lahat eh di pa nga tau nka 1/8 maybe sa entire minerals.
best example ha is the fuel mineral na ginagamit natin sa mga sasakyan natin,. when does people started using vehicles? not more than 500yrs ago for sure... fossil fuels created million yrs ago by the nature,., we cnt saturate what nature provided us., dnatin kaya ubusin yun for sure!!!.. theres a lot of explorations needed pa. a lot of sources pa na hindi pa na didiscover. so therefore we must support mining cause it does really give big help to make life easier. try to think...
