Wow I've never seen Albrook mall during Christmas, really cool! I remember it being so packed sometimes that you pretty much have to walk shoulder to shoulder.

How things change over time. When I was stationed out of Fort Clayton at Chiva-Chiva in the "rain forest" Albrook was a very active Air Force Base. From the looks of it all that's left is the tarmac.

@tlcmcwoodstock hey cool, i too was stationed out here. Albrook today is a full fledged airport. They closed the one in paitilla and moved it to Albrook. There are some international flights to Costa Rica too. They have a shit load of hangers with all kinds of repair shops for planes and helicopters. cool huh?

If you like huge malls you might want to youtube search New South China Mall fillmed by EconCat88, from what I saw it has been empty since 2005.

My brother in law is one of the building managers there. Also Albrook has a huge bus terminal. I think that all the Red Devils are gone now.

Went there in my trip to Panama, it was really busy that day.....Oh and i bought a couple of gifts for myself in the motorcycle store, i believe it was Whoops or something like that, pretty cheap compared to Costa Rica !!

My wife and I went to the largest open air mall in the world. It's on Oahu, Hawaii. That was pretty cool. It's three stories in places and has every shop imaginable.

It's to help prevent shoplifting. But mostly it stops me from spending more money, because I refuse to wait in extra lines and be treated like a criminal.
