Awesome bass work!!!!!! That Jazz bass sounds fantastic , what are your pickups, do you have a preamp ? I use a 70's Reissue in Black has upgraded pickups 2011 'Fender "Super Bass" Jazz Bass Pickups sounds fantastic too. I was wondering what you used, Is yours a 70's RI also, Keep the low end alive!!!!!! J

i love this guy...and im so sad he is no longer with us (luther vandross) This bassline as of late has been very nice for me to play...seems i try and venture into mark king territory ever so often (the guy from leval 42) and when i cme out i can play other stuff a bit better if i couldnt learn fully what he was doing if this makes sense.. I have a musicman stringray fretless and a sterling bass which covers this stuff like a dream...very nice cover..i used to have many jazz bass's

hey hey whatsup... this is really great work, i love the bass on that track and you really played it very well...

i have a little request, and wonder if you would like to collaborate. Im currently making a song using never too much as "sample" (i try to play every instrument myself and dont include the original). Would be cool if you could play the bass or me, i guess you can record it as a solo right?

Geeez that sounds outstanding...Is the Korg like a head phone amp? With effects? Sorry for the dumb question, I am just trying to figure out the korg. Excellent playing! had to add to my favs!

Thanks for the commment and addition to your favs. Glad you liked it. For me, the Korg is an ideal bit of kit for creating these types of vids. Great selection of amps, cabs and effects.  Input my bass, aux in my ipod (the Korg has a handy function to remove the bass from original track), split the output to a) headphones and b) PC (line in the sound card).

Listen to a song many times before attempting it just to get the feel and groove. Play sparingly, guitarists have inclination to fill the gaps with loads of notes. Make each note meaningful. Dont worry about speed, feel is more important.

My local guitar shop (Frets nr Blackpool, England) did a superb job. Very low action with and lots of movement in the strings.

The PX4d is amazing for the price. Havent tried the PX5 yet.

Cheers. I use a Korg Pandora PX4D with compression and a hint of chorus. The Bass Cancel feature is quite nifty.
