Third Hokage was death, spirits, and possibly rebirth, hence all his jutsus involving shadows, soul-stealing, and sealing. the Fourth Hokage is space or time-space[not sure which], hence his teleportation jutsus. the Fifth Hokage is life, hence her youth-preservation jutsu.
