  • Is the 100 series the original Bullet train? What generation is the 700 series 5th or 6th? 700-THE MOST BEAUTIFUL TRAIN IN THE WORLD!

  • @derrway The 0 series was the first. There are/were 0 100 200 300 400 500 800 E1 E2 E3 E4 and E5. This does not include quite a few experimentals that came and went. I do not know the history well enough to be precise about where the 700 fits into the build dates. The 0 and 400 have been withdrawn and the E4 will be soon. Wiki should give you all the info that you need.

  • あ♪

  • Great video!

  • Now this is real transport. America needs these.

  • 0:49 rightunder train is Odakyu.

  • this stasion is Odawara!

  • The 500 series are awesome. Pity there was only a few of them built and they're scheduled for retirement soon.

  • @AndreiTupolev I'm not sure how long JR West plan to keep them running on the Kodama services but you certainly won't see one east of Shin-Osaka any more.

  • brings back memories! i miss japan!

  • sugoidesu..

  • i guess this train is no longer avaible

  • @SuperStonedWeed On the contrary, I used the Tokkaido shinkansen line on Tuesday 15/3 to make good my escape from Tokyo to Osaka to get to my flight back to Australia. The northern group of shinkansen lines are still out of action and since most run through Fukushima may stay that way for a while.

  • my 2 year old son watched this whole video with his eyes "glued to the screen" =) thanks for uploading =) makes me really want to visit japan =)

  • DAM FAST ASS TRAINS

  • Im American but Japanese bullet trains are the best thing since the SD70-ace here in America.

  • Thanks for posting this. It would be nice if they model a Japanese route and some of these trains in Rail Simulator. Who knows in the future.

  • @aslkfja Do a Google. There are some online and free to use. Start at realtrainsdotcom.

  • trains ?

    no hell ...

    these are airplanes

  • Awsome video. Looks like there is no speed limit when passing through the train stations.

  • @54321YUY Line speed applies up to the current 300km/h and soon to be 320km/h on the Tohoku shinkansen.

  • Super perfect video !!

  • @MrTenerife And there is a truckload more coming. I will be in Japan for 28 days in March.

  • trains?

  • @myroman222 What does it say in the title ?

  • Beautiful. The Japanese have some very cool trains.

  • No, it is Mihara which is the second shinkansen stop from Hiroshima. Maibara is much further away and from memory has a few experimental shinkansen cars on display near the station.

  • Comment removed

  • @KareiHideyuki Over a year later and I'm still waiting for a "whoops I made a mistake"

  • @Rocketboy1950

Shoot, just realized there was a Miahara station. Sorry!

  • N700系は最高時速300キロです。

N700 system is best 300 kilometers per hour.

    N700 系统是最佳 300 公里每小时。

N700 시스템은 최고 속도 300 킬로미터입니다.

    N700 ระบบจะดีที่สุด300กิโลเมตรต่อชั่วโมง

  • @PO456DX But wait, the E5 is coming and so am I. I will come back next year to video the E5

  • @PO456DX

Please note that is still in junior high school student English well not.

    Correction

Within the Tokaido road Shinkansen is 260 km in in the Kyushu Shinkansen, 300 km on the Sanyo Shinkansen in 270 km.

E5-Tohoku Shinkansen 360 km driving to appointments, but seems to driving 300 km. And 2012 as enforce it 320 km driving.

  • Splendid vid!

    Honorable Type Zero.

    We remember you...

  • Too bad they dropped 500 series from Nozomi services...

  • @kanazo No. not really because on a JR pass I wasn't allowed on one. Now that they are running Kodamas I can ride one :-)

  • @Rocketboy1950 Ah, I was refering to the fact that 500 series will no longer run Nozomi services and now is being restricted to Kodama services only

  • @kanazo So was I

  • Thanks for posting have thoroughly enjoyed this vid - well put together

  • 700 series looks like a duck

  • too repetitive. how many 500s and 700s did you really need to show?

  • massive,,, camera work high skills but the sound,,,so love the sound

  • This is brilliant. I have got to visit Japan to see these trains. Thank you for sharing.

  • 16:32 ...... how close the train is to the platform..... cool

  • i like the 300 series..

it was my first model train

  • Gee I really am marvelling at the contrast between the infrustructure in Japan and that of good ol Sydney NSW, ha ha. Seriously though good footage of all the different shinkys. I like the 100 series the best as it has the retro look. Some of the more modern ones look a bit ugly. I think I might go on an "infrastructure holiday" to Japan as we don't have much to look at in Sydney.

  • Be absolutely sure to get to the Umeda Sky Building in Osaka if you do, the escalators will amaze you.

  • Nice, But how did you manage to upload more then 10 minutes.??

  • They dropped the 10' limit ages ago.....or did that happen when I joined the partners program. Either way I don't have a time limit.

  • What, i havent heard of this, i shall try.

    Thanks.

  • how fast do those mothers go!

  • They top out at 300km/h. Most that you see here are 270km/h, one is 285km/h. The double deckers in this clip are 240km/h.

  • @Rocketboy1950 Do you know the MPHs?

  • @AdmiralArcher Divide km's by eight and multiply the answer by five

  • @Rocketboy1950 Say what? Give me an example.

  • @AdmiralArcher 300km/h divide by 8 = 37.5 x by 5 = 187.5mph

  • @Rocketboy1950 Now give me the others.

  • @AdmiralArcher It's not rocket science

  • @Rocketboy1950 I meant to give me the other answers on the other BULLET trains. I don't have to be a Rocket Scientist, you know.

  • @AdmiralArcher Fine, you're not a rocket scientist but can you do simple arithmetic.

  • @Rocketboy1950 Yes! But that doesn't mean you can't teach me it, now does it?

I divide the kilometers by 8 and the answer'll be right there.

  • @AdmiralArcher divide by 8 and multiply the answer by five and there endeth the lesson !

Thank god I'm not trying to teach you how to calculate the capacity of a sphere. I really don't know how we'd go with four thirds of phi r cubed.

  • Nice video. when i was in Japan i not record too much videos of train, and when i see these videos it makes me remember my last journey. thanks. From méxico

  • Excellent video, well taken, Thanks..5*...Bob

  • awesome video but japan think they are the future with his trains some shinkansens looks so stupid but awesome vidoe 5/5

  • 5/5 Rich

  • Fabulous stuff. You do a great job considering no tripod. Love the closing shot of the 0 Series. I last travelled in one of these in 1987 from Kyoto to Tokyo. This brought back some memories.

  • Well done - よくできた、Rocketboyさん!! ありがとう!

  • Thanks, would be a lot better if I used a tripod but such a pain to lug around in crowds...not to mention on the flights to and from.

  • a nice camera work!

  • Beautiful. The Japanese have some very cool trains. Thanks for posting.
