As good as Peco is, he isn't the best for this fight, I basically stuck with Garr the entire time as child Ryu.

Ryu: Miracle+Fire, then Atack the Gisshan first, then the Worms

If AP is out, then just rush on the worms with Ice Spells =P

With Magma Armors and Rings of Fire, this battle isn't hard

Why the f**k did you attack them with Lightning??? Frost/Ice spells/attacks cause way more damage to Charyb & Scylla... (-_-)

You can actually silence one of the serpents...found it much easier after that...not that it was a hard fight or anything

Btw you should look to get rid of Gisshan first. W/o him you avoid annoying status spells + healing ALSO the dragons start doing stupid things without him (defending, watch enemy which essentially does nothing and will hardly use wall of fire or attack).

I wish they woulda explained this better. Why is an old man in here randomly with epic dragon/wyrm things anyway? Then when you get to the town all they say is "oh yah did you run into the old man? he's crazy eh?" It's lame for such an epic confrontation heh.

Peco is a beast if trained properly. He starts at level 1 so he can learn the most skills, he auto-regenerates HP, and LOOK AT THOSE STAT GAINS.

Peco is imense, hes my fav character after ryu of course, i got peco to level 61 and boy was he a good fighter, give him the right skills and he is the business, as good as ryu in ordinary form

lol, you decided to make it more difficult on yourself or something? all you need is 2 magma armors (wake up the volcano monsters) and the ring of fire found there... get those and the fight is pretty much a joke.

Also I jokingly leveled peco to level 30-ish around there with the lavamen (fahl as teacher nonstop). It was funny as hell seeing those monsters hit him for 10dmg only to have him regenerate 21 per round :D

Wait a minute I can still remember how I fought this boss. First try dead second now victorious. I think I got challenged in this boss than the other boss. What about the elder dragon in dragnier.

This was one of the tougher battles I had fought my first playthrough. I now bring Garr and Peco here. Garr with inoculations for flame protection, Ryu and the asbestos Armor and Peco with the Flame Ring. I usually get a Magma Armor from a drop off the Vulcan at some point before this boss in some of my runs through the volcano.

You shouldn't of used Pico...You shouldn't of used him at all untill you got up to Deis the master, and then put peco under her, so he can learn all her skills real fast since he'd be at a low level.

Yeah, if you know what you're doing. Some enemies really hate magic, others like it, so be careful. Dragon genes help a bit too if you're really in trouble. Also, resting at an Inn brings Hp back to normal. I think you knew that though.
