  • Struuuuuunz

  • Bundesliga-Hall of fame...

  • Bravo Trapattoni! At that time had been so truly words. And now, go and bring "the cats in the sack" :D

  • "I tried to translate his errors as good as I could"

Good is an adjective, but well is an adverb. While you're criticising Trap for his German grammatical errors, and the people who picked you up on it supposedly for theirs, ironically your own use of English is deeply flawed. I really don't want to read your attempt at Italian.

Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

    Trap's a legend. Hands off.

  • @loopstheloop

He also wrote that he is not criticising Trapattoni. Take it easy...

  • did dunphy see this? hahaha might shut up then

  • MR STRUNZ!

  • thought he was Italian?

  • @thebuzz2010 Yes, he is.

  • trap is the man!

  • LOL

  • No doubt about it, we've the better Italian manager. In Trap we trust.

  • German is such a powerfull language :P

  • I'm bilingual, I'm teaching German: it not his fault. German is more difficult than Russian to be learned. after 25 years avoid to learn German, it's almosti impossible..

HE is then not so bad at all! if you cosider this

  • What Dare Strunz!

  • Trapattoni <3 one of my fav coaches !!

  • It's fun because a lot of people don't know that german surname "Strunz" is similar to a bad italian word, "stronzo", that in english means....Asshole!

    I'm italian :)

  • excellent!^^

  • Comment removed

  • Ich habe fertig. - I am done

    not I am ready :)

  • I dunno what the problem is, this is how I speak German. Srsly tho Trap's a ledge.

  • god help the irish players if they pisss him off!

  • Cogio nervios

  • I wish he could speak English like he speaks German that was some rant .

  • That's hilarious! That's why we must have Ireland at Euro 2012 - the football world needs more of this! And after the last World Cup play offs - Trap deserves some luck.

  • Trap, simply the best!

  • He speaks the local language. He wants the best from his team. He has the trophies to justify it. He's a class on his own. Capello must learn from him.

  • Giovanni Trapattoni made Football History. Forza Juventus!

  • EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEH .................. NERLINGER !

  • I love this man, a good old fashion manager, like it really should be :) Benfica entered in economical problems in 1994 and it went 11 yeras without being champion, TRAPATTONI cam and made us champions again

I love this man Thank you TRAPATTONI :)

  • Trap ,come to Legia Warsaw, please

  • We're all part of trappa's army!!

  • ce agresiva e babaciunea asta :))

  • HERO

Grande trap ce ne fossero altri allenatori come te.

  • ma trap .. sto strunz chi è ??? ahahaha

  • for who doesn't know: were weak like a bottle empty = Drunk

    Il Trap = number 1

  • excellent work mate !

  • TRAP'S latest trophy = the nations cup with IRELAND.

  • ALONG with the austrian ERNST HAPPEL trap is the only coach in history to win league title in 4 DIFFERENT COUNTRIES . ALONG with the german coach UDO LATTEK trap is the only coach in history to win ALL UEFA TROPHIES ( champs, cup winners, super cup & uefa ) , BUT WHERE HE STANDS ALONE IS winning all the UEFA trophies and the INTERCONTINAL CUP , which FIFA now judge to be a WORLD TITLE and forerunner of FIFA WORLD CLUB CUP

  • @Coolermaster71 No, it doesn't mean piece of sh** or anything like that today. Strunz ist only the name of a football player. I know it because I'm german. ;-)

  • I have ready

  • @Coolermaster71 Ah non lo sapevo! Beh allora è ancora più divertente! ;)

  • The funniest thing is that "Strunz", in italian, is like asshole (more or less)...So when he shouts at 0:49 it seems like he's offending the whole crowd...It's just epic for italians to listen it...

    Sorry for my english :)

  • This is great - I love it.

Ich habe fertig :):):) Yes you are totally correct this does take more guts than most people have. Good for him.

  • i dont know much about bayern, was trapattoni right?

  • how can you translate "Ich habe fertg" in "I have ready"... that aint even correct engish...:P

  • @JoeyAjax93 Ich habe fertig is also no correct german, obviously he doesn't know that it is called ich bin fertig ( i have finished)

  • trapattoni is a legend

  • Brilliant press conference. Thanks for the subtitles and upload.

  • Your subtitles are as correct as correct they could be! Don't mention people who think they must post any form of negative comment. Please excuse my bad english.

  • ICH HABE FERTIG

  • @sharre25 maybe because german language is so hard... not trap's fault

  • trap speaks german like crap

  • first mussolini, after trapattoni:D

     hail trap :D

  • he sounds like a cross between hitler and mussolini

  • Comment removed

  • "Ich habe fertig" translation: why not "I am finished"?

  • @AshWedFalcon

    correct: "ich bin fertig."

  • THE GREAT TRAP

  • hahahaha!

feel sorry for Strunz :D :D

  • legend

  • Ich habe fertig xD

  • if you think trapp is bad at the irish job you should have seen HAND,KERR,STAUNTON,GILES,GIVENS,TUOHY,MEAGAN,CAREYAND HURLEY they all done the job, and between them eire qualified for = well nothing actually !

  • ROFLMAO! In german it is much better then in english! :D

  • HAIL TRAPATTONI ! THE ONLY COACH IN HISTORY TO WIN ALL INTERNATIONAL CLUB COMPETITIONS= WORLD CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP, EUROPEAN CUP, EUROPEAN CUP WINNERS CUP, UEFA CUP, AND UEFA SUPER CUP.

  • @wexfordboyful Yes but hes one of the worst managers Iv ever seen manage Ireland!

  • @cotupina187 u have managers in ireland?

  • @wexfordboyful He won the world cup with Italy as well didnt he?

  • @simon44 no my friend he did not , in fact ITALY and THE WORD CUP is a very sore subject with GT , he took charge of the national team in 2000, led them to the last 16 in s.korea ( 2002 ), where the host nation beat italy 2-1 in a very DODGY MATCH , good ITALY goal disallowed, TONI sent off , TRAP was furious after the match, in fact ITALY are the only team trap did not win a trophy with

  • @wexfordboyful

Korea 2002 was a dodgy match, but what happened at Euro '04??

  • Hi Hitler !!!!

  • CHILL PILL'S ROUND THE CORNER RAGGY

  • LOL, it sound a lot like uncle Hitchie ; )...

  • OMFG! If i was a player and Trappattoni as my choach, i sure as hell would play evry game like it was the last one! He is scary! xD

  • german sounds scary

  • hepsi kolega diyor.

  • Yes I'm Italian...in italian language "stronzo" is piece of shit, and "strunz" is dialect XD

  • Legend

  • @boysvandehood shut up... Trap rules!!!

  • Hail Trapattoni!

  • In napolitain, but also in other local languages of Southern Italy, "strunz" means "piece of shit": that's the reason why Trapattoni's sentence makes Italians laugh.

  • He talks about Thomas Strunz - a german midfielder.

  • I'm Italian. Strunz is a deformation of "Stronzo" that means "Shit" or simillar.

Trapattoni is funny in any language lol

  • Strunz = asshole. In italian language!

  • @slashguns80 in italian "STRONZO" which is very similar to STRUNZ doesn't mean asshole, but, piece of shit if is given to a person as an insult, it can be also in english for TURD

  • @alesydney

  • @alesydney in italian stronzo is comparable with asshole in english, piece of shit in italian is pezzo di merda.

  • @slashguns80 but wasnt strunz a player?

  • German is truly the best language to have an angry rant in...especially if you're really not making any sense.

  • @C3P0meetsData

if you don't speak german and hear it then i agree: it sounds like a real combat language.

The only pathetic thing about it is the accent you get while speaking english.

  • @C3P0meetsData arabic also good for anger-expression and cursing :D

  • I wanted to draw your attention, guys, to a part of Trap's speech that, to us Italians, is even more hilarious than the famous "Ich habe fertig" line. When Trap shouts "Strunz!" that's when every italian watching the video fall on the floor laughing... "Strunz" in Italian (actually in Naples) means "Asshole"... and I guess that was just what he thought about the player. And when he goes "Struuuuuuuunzzz!!!!", it just kills me every single time I watch this performance of the great Trap! =)

  • @cxar71 the word is stronzo in Italian, it's not particularly confined to Naples, and it doesn't exactly mean asshole, but rather crap.

  • HAIL TO THE GRAND GIOVANNI!!!

FRANCE AND HENRY SHOULD HAD BEEN BANNED FOR THIS ACTION!!!

    GO IRELAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Fockin'ell!!

Il Duce has a blond hair-piece now!

    Respek! ;-)

All joking aside he does have a good point.

I wonder how many would get away with that today?

    With Dominec fresh in mind.......

How would he have fared as coach for "L'equipe-bleu"?

I would love to see more coaches like this!

    Well done Trapattoni!

  • I love trapattoni, he'll lead us to the Euro12 tournament and hopefully to the cup aswell. A coach with style

  • i have ready---sensationell !!!

  • i heart Trap

  • That's our manager

  • Ti amo, Giovanni!

  • "Was erlauben Strunz" *lol* So geil :)

    Ich habe fertig!

  • This guy kinda makes me consider taking up an interest in soccer...

  • STRUNZ!

  • Dawać go do Wisły :)

  • So Strunz is the german owen hargeaves

  • trapattonii sei un grande!!!:) ahahhaa

  • Trap is a legend, were soooooo lucky to have him!!!!!!

  • grande trap...

  • last sentence is wrong

    "Fertig" means finished not ready

he said " Im Finished "

  • @TubeComedyChannel

    mayvbe u r wright

buit is trap and u r nothing

  • acctually it's good, cause

...there is also mistake in german. Correct is: "Ich bin fertig".

"Ich habe fertig" which Trappatoni said, is extramly funny for germans, as far as I know from my german friends...

The whole speach has so many mistakes, grammar and changed phrases (for example with the bottel: there is phrase with bottel which menas that someone is an idiot, but phrase about "empty bottel" - it's Trapattoni invention) + his emotion = for Germans it is very funny.

  • Comment removed

  • he had a little obsession with Strunz!anyway trapattoni and alberto malezani kick ass at these kind of interviews lol

  • grande trapattoni

  • TO WOSCHINSKI: don't worry, you're right. Believe me, sometimes was difficult for us Italians to understand what he was saying (in italian). But "Trap" has been a great coach and, above all, is an unique great man.

  • grat coach and great man; He won a lot in his career as player and coach in Italya and abroad. The Germans were shocked by being treated shit by him.Bravo Giovanni.

  • STRUNZ !!! WHAT DARE STRUNZ ?!!!

    loooooooooooool !!! Pure LEGEND !

  • Strunz! How dare you! ;)

  • so muss jogi mal ausrasten XD

  • He is my hero in football

  • I think the clip is legendary and trappatoni is legendary, and his speech too :) And the translation is very good...I have ready :D (Y)

  • i have a lot of respect for him he is astrong coach and speaks his mind but i hate his style of football he coached benfica and won our first title in 11 years but his style was winning 1-0 or 2-1 everygame and our fans hated it we wanted him fireed untill of course he won the league lol but he left after that but i am very happy with what he did with ireland it took the french cheating to knock them out

  • LEGEND

    Love from ireland

  • dude, he is so good at languages that he is can even talk german with anger despite the fact that he is not german himself. in fact, he had to learn the language..

  • "Stellen Sie die Kollegen die Frage!" STRUNZ IS WORSE THAN A NIGHTMARE!I ALREADY HATE HIM. LIKE I KNOWN HIM FOR YEARS! STUNZ, PISS OFF.

  • I've heard that after this conference his phrase "leere Flasche" (empty bottle) has become a common expression in the German language.

  • Strunz in some italians dialects means also ''piece of shit''

  • @kresh84 Strunz is german player.. And Trapattoni says that he lost 25 % of the year for injury reason .. With another translation don't make sense

  • @hoozer23 Thomas Strunz was a midfielder, he even played in the national team, he scored in a penatly shootout against England during Euro '96. He didn't lose 25% of season, it was even worse - he played in only 25% of matches. ;]

  • @vanderToki you're right !! He was good player despite his injuries

  • @kresh84 Dude i´m Italian! Strunz means *ideot*

  • @kresh84

Well, not to be painstakingly technical but "stronzo" would be turd. Stronza - bitch "pezzo di merda" - piece of shit. I know that would basically mean the same, but turd is much more fun to say, as is strunz!

  • @kresh84 strunz means asshole in southern italian dialect

  • @Symbiote88 in all italy we use it

  • @Bencarmine96 LoL no, in tuscany for example, which is where i live, those who use that word are almost always from the south..

  • @Symbiote88 LoL no, in piedmont for example, which is where i live, if i say it to anyone they understand i'm calling them Assholes

  • @kresh84 Strunz is the Naples' version of the Italian "Stronzo",alias piece of shit or scumbag.

    :D

  • whats the point becoming a soccer player and dont want to play?what do they think?that they work for the public service?

  • Looks like Mussolini, talks like Mussolini :D Hell of a manager!

  • has his nickname says he´s the old fox...and damn he has an attitude...great man and a man that talk almost all the languages in the world...ty for what you did at benfica

  • Was erlauben STRUNZ ??? hahahhhaah

  • too funny

  • Mitico Trap...! E quello Strunz... è proprio uno Strunz!!!

    :D

  • Trapattoni is a legend!!!!

  • quante gliene dice a quello Strunz!

  • baybay bay hitler

  • Ich habe fertig.

  • who does he mean in STRUNZ? he says that he has played only 25% of the matches...
