I have 18 episodes of the Spot Light series, it's not cheap but well done and worth the cost. There's a You Tube video here advertising the videos. Ray Price and Marty was the best in the group in the series, in my opinion. Ray Price was always so calm and collected but Marty made sure he was laughing through most of the episode. But they were all good, but I'm partial to Marty and Ray. Here's the only place I found that sells the set: cfrvideos
Wonderful singer ; only Orbison could be his equal.Too much of a gentleman to be regarded as the legend he most certainly is. You have to be a reformed drug addict or an adulterer to gain that status.
These shows date from 1968/9 and they were sold a few years back on video as 'The Best Of The Marty Robbins Show.'
Sadly, they have never been released officially on DVD. Marty also had a show around the mid 70's called 'The Marty Robbins Spotlight' which featured guests such as Chet Atkins, Don Gibson, Brenda Lee, Jerry Reed and Ray Price to name just a few.

I first heard this song when I chanced across Marty's #1 Cowboy CD at a discount store. Great song! It would make an excellent short movie.

What is the history of this show? Was this Marty's own TV show? These songs are great.

Yes but does anyone know the two "lifelong buddies?"
Bobby Sykes and Don Winters.
And Don Winters was the BEST yodeler the world has ever seen...Melre Haggard second to him.
